Festival D'ex was impressive when landing the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at the Punchestown Festival and should go well on his hurdles bow. Fakir and Pure Genius also likely have better to offer.

LONGHOUSE POET won on his first point start and on his first bumper outing, and although he couldn't complete a hat-trick on his hurdles bow at Naas last month, he still ran to a solid level of form and rates the one to beat. Column Of Fire landed the bronze medal behind the selection at Naas and could put up most resistance, though big runs from Coolagh Park, Wingin A Prayer and You Can Call Me Al would also come as no surprise.

The Jam Man has been well placed by Ronan McNally to win at Southwell, Cartmel and Newton Abbot on his forays to the UK over the summer, though he's competing in choppier waters now and may well have his sequence halted. Fred Winter second COKO BEACH has returned in good order this term and gets a tentative vote because Irish Grand National third Acapella Bourgeois is best known for his chasing exploits and is entitled to need this comeback outing, likewise Pertemps Final hero Sire Du Berlais, though he remains on a nice mark.

VOIX DES TIEP made a pleasing start to life in this sphere when third at Naas, beaten just over a length by the high-class Tornado Flyer, and a repeat of that effort should be enough to see the seven-year-old open his fencing account. Stablemate Ifyoucatchmenow is respected on the form of his Fairyhouse hurdles second to Ronald Pump in the spring, with Elwood, another who has chased home that useful operator in the past, requiring plenty of attention as well. Canardier was thereabouts in competitive handicaps at all of the spring festivals and is taken seriously on his chasing debut.

Grade 1 bumper winner TORNADO FLYER made the best possible start to life over fences when scoring at Naas last month and rates as the one to beat here, despite dropping back in trip, as he attempts to enhance his chasing reputation. Due Reward was second at this level at Roscommon and is one of two for Gigginstown House Stud in the line-up, alongside Gordon Elliott's useful Eclair De Beaufeu.

EX PATRIOT has plenty of ability and showcased his credentials when third in a Grade 2 at Punchestown behind two class acts in the shape of Battleoverdoyen and Any Second Now. A mark of 146 gives him a chance in handicap company and he can prove too strong for Whisperinthebreeze, who was third behind the smart Salsaretta at Punchestown on what was his first outing since the Irish National. Glenloe is fairly handicapped and could prove best of the JP McManus-owned quartet.

WIDE RECEIVER changed hands for 410,000 pounds back in February and can make his debut under Rules a winning one for Gordon Elliott and Gigginstown House Stud. An eight-length scorer between the flags, the four-year-old represents a yard that has won the last two renewals of this event and could be above average. En Beton hasn't been witnessed for 594 days but is a type that Willie Mullins typically does well with. Dexter Tiger may prove best of the remainder.
