He represents a trainer and jockey who are both in red-hot form at present and his recent form reads well, chasing home subsequent dual winner Janidil before readily winning his maiden at Cork. Unexpected Depth and Quartz Du Rheu might be left to fight it out for third.

MINELLA MELODY took high rank in the bumper sphere last season, placing in Graded company at both Aintree and Punchestown, and she was a comfortable all-the-way winner on her hurdling debut at Cork last month. She is entitled to improve for that first start since May and can complete the double, most likely at the main expense of Clonmel scorer Ard Abhainn. Gordon Elliott's other runner, Mount Ida, looks next best.

BURLESQUE QUEEN arrives in cracking form, having won two of her last three starts, and a further 11lb rise might not be enough to stop her scoring again. Artic Pearl has made plenty of jumping errors over fences the last twice so it's no surprise to see him switching back to hurdles. He sports first-time cheekpieces and has Davy Russell taking over the reigns, so is an interesting player. Treacysenniscorthy, Andalusa and Email Rose are others to note.

A cracking renewal, in which MIN is fancied to defend his crown and enhance Willie Mullins' excellent record in the race. Everything looks to be in the eight-year-old's favour, he goes particularly well fresh and will likely prove a tough nut to crack. Presenting Percy is a fascinating runner making his first start since picking up an injury in last season's Cheltenham Gold Cup, but it could be Real Steel, a stablemate of the selection who impressively won a Grade 2 at Down Royal 36 days ago, who asks most questions.

BREAKEN will need to settle a lot better than when a disappointing fourth in a novice hurdle at the Festival here when last sighted, but he was mightily impressive at Limerick the time before and fences could make a man of him. Third in the aforementioned course event was Dunvegan and he warrants plenty of respect tackling fences for the first time, while Trainwreck is difficult to dismiss following his fourth-placed effort behind last weekend's Drinmore winner Fakir D'Oudairies at Navan.
