Langer Dan made it two out of two in Listed company at Wetherby last time and has to be respected, but might struggle to give 3lb to BOTOX HAS. Gary Moore's French import absolutely bolted up in a four-runner affair on his UK debut at Fontwell and showed that was no fluke when chasing home Allmankind in a Grade 2 over this C&D. Group Stage won nicely enough at Ludlow and is in with a shout, while Irish raider Tremwedge has run respectably without winning over timber, most recently when third in a Fairyhouse Grade 3.

MISTER FISHER returned to action with a solid second on his chasing debut behind Torpillo at Warwick and though the victor that day couldn't back it up in Grade 1 company at Sandown, Nicky Henderson's charge is taken to improve enough on that reappearance to score. Stablemate Champagne Platinum's only defeat over timber came when pitched into top-level novice company at Punchestown and he has to be of interest, while Good Boy Bobby and Topofthecotswolds have both got winning form over fences and give Nigel Twiston-Davies an interesting hand.

DESTRIER was not beaten far when third in the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter last month and the fact he tended to jump left that day suggests he'll be happier on this track. Third in a Grade 1 at Aintree as a novice last season, his Exeter run showed he can be competitive off his current mark and is taken to get the better of last year's Grand Annual hero Croco Bay, who has been off the track since Punchestown in May. Art Of Payroll and Eamon An Cnoic have the ability to strike in this sort of grade, but may need further than this to be seen at their best.

Paul Nicholls has won two of the last three runnings of this contest, both with Frodon, and he appears to have another cracking chance this time around courtesy of SECRET INVESTOR and Brelan D'As. The latter is 5lb higher than when touched off in the BetVictor Gold Cup on the old course here last month but should remain competitive. However, his stablemate gets the vote on handicap debut. He didn't do a whole pile wrong in novice company last season, finishing runner-up behind the likes of Bags Groove and Ok Corral, and there was plenty to like about his seasonal reappearance at Down Royal, only finding the high-class Real Steel too good. A mark of 150 is there to be taken advantage of and he looks sure to mount a bold bid. Last year's runner-up Cepage warrants plenty of respect following his comeback second at Aintree, while the Willie Mullins-trained Robin Des Foret adds further spice to the race.

Nicky Henderson has two runners at opposite ends of the novice hurdle spectrum, as Valtor has plenty of winning experience over fences and the Grand National also-ran struck for the first time over timber at Ascot, while Igor has only four career starts to his name but did score with plenty in hand last time. Redford Road was behind Valtor at Ascot and is probably the second string of Nigel Twiston-Davies' runners, despite being rated 1lb higher than Mossy Fen, who maintained his unbeaten start over timber when striking at Aintree. Preference, though, is for CHAMPAGNE WELL, who stayed on well for second over 2m5f here last time and looks likely to flourish over this trip at a track which he evidently enjoys.

Elixir De Nutz looked to have a really promising career ahead of him when landing the Tolworth at Sandown but injury brought his season to a premature halt. He may need this first outing since January, so Triumph Hurdle hero PENTLAND HILLS gets the vote. Nicky Henderson's gelding was a dual Grade 1 winner as a juvenile and looks capable of making his presence felt on his first foray into open-age company. The selection's stablemate Call Me Lord is interesting after missing out by half a length at Ascot last month, while Monsieur Lecoq was perhaps a shade too keen in handicap company here latest and could go well upped in class.

DAME DE COMPAGNIE returned from 19 months off the track with a promising fifth in a hot handicap here last month and she wouldn't have to improve markedly to land the spoils now in a mares-only contest. Fellow JP McManus-owned filly Vision Du Puy was not beaten far by Lady Buttons last time and is of obvious interest on her handicap bow, while Queens Cave got off the mark at the fourth attempt over timber at Exeter last time and could be a major player off a mark of 128. Indefatigable and The Cull Bank are others to consider.
