Sizing Pottsie made a bright return to hurdling when third at Punchestown and has always been held in high regard. Mr Lingo was an expensive purchase after winning his sole point-to-point, although he hasn't been seen for a while.

Gordon Elliott has a wealth of talent among his novice hurdlers and ANDY DUFRESNE wouldn't be far off the pick of them. The five-year-old hasn't had to come out of second gear to win a point, bumper and a novice hurdle here, and he can take the step up to Grade 2 company in his stride. Fairyhouse winner Conflated is a capable second string for Elliott, although Noel Meade's Sixshooter could be the primary Gigginstown hope. Latest Exhibition was an excellent second in the For Auction Novice Hurdle, though, and that makes him the main danger to the selection.

Classy chaser Mengli Khan is interesting on the switch back to timber and, to a slightly lesser extent, so is Moskovite. Sayo also reverts from the larger obstacles and with Paul Townend on board, appears the pick of Willie Mullins' pair. Sky Marshal is better than he showed at Gowran but the safest option is TOP MOON, who justified favouritism at Cork and would appear to have plenty more to offer.
