BIG GOSSEY has taken a step forward since his debut in two C&D appearances, finishing second both times, and the son of Gutaifan could make it third time lucky at this venue. Ossco showed consistent form in the UK for Mohamed Moubarak and warrants consideration on his first start for Anthony McCann, while recent nursery winner On Tick can enter the reckoning despite conceding weight all round.
Prediction : 1st Big Gossey 2nd Ossco 3rd On Tick

WHATHARM only just held on when getting his head back in front here over a mile last month and the drop down a furlong on this occasion is unlikely to pose any issue despite a 5lb rise from the handicapper. La Derniere Fois gained her first career success over C&D at the end of October and is capable of further progression on this surface, while the step back up to 7f could suit Nigg Bay after a string of solid course performances.
Prediction : 1st Whatharm 2nd La Derniere Fois 3rd Nigg Bay

SISTER LOLA emerged with plenty of credit from her C&D second a fortnight ago, having fared best of the newcomers behind an experienced filly of Jessica Harrington's, and the daughter of Slade Power can build on that performance. Hieroglyphic (second) and Homecoming (third) were separated by half a length over C&D 21 days ago and the pair are likely to give solid accounts along with newcomer Tickerdi, who is a half-sister to a useful performer whose career-best figure came on the all-weather earlier this year.
Prediction : 1st Sister Lola 2nd Hieroglyphic 3rd Homecoming

DUNE OF PILAT cost 340,000 euros as a yearling and he caught the eye when finishing second on his debut over a mile here last month. With that experience now under his belt, the son of Medaglia d'Oro could be very hard to beat. Balmari is likely to pose the biggest threat to the selection, while any market support for Lazy Susan would have to be noted.
Prediction : 1st Dune Of Pilat 2nd Balmari 3rd Lazy Susan

SETTLE FOR BAY has been disappointing since winning the Royal Hunt Cup in 2018 off this mark but he has won four of his six starts at this track and could make a winning return to action. Gordon Lord Byron failed to fire last time out but his previous second-placed finish to Geological suggests that he could make the frame. The aforementioned Geological is another to note, although he may be a touch high in the ratings right now, while Tommy Taylor merits consideration on his debut for these connections.
Prediction : 1st Settle For Bay 2nd Gordon Lord Byron 3rd Tommy Taylor

ANNIE B shaped with an abundance of promise when third over 7f on debut here last week and is entitled to come on for the outing. Eastern Star is more exposed than the selection, though it is possible this step up in trip could unlock a little bit of improvement from Henry de Bromhead's 62-rated filly. Any money for Sweet Affection, who finished a fair sixth over C&D on debut last month, would also be worth heeding.
Prediction : 1st Annie B 2nd Eastern Star 3rd Sweet Affection

SIMSIR followed up his Cork win on debut in September with a C&D victory the same month and is the most interesting runner in the line-up now starting life in handicap company on a mark of 95. Bold Approach has been raised 6lb for scoring over 1m4f here two weeks ago but is expected to be finishing strongly in the closing stages. Charcor and Rips Dream are two other in-form types to consider.
Prediction : 1st Simsir 2nd Bold Approach 3rd Charcor

ROCKVIEW ROMAN arrives on a C&D hat-trick and has every chance of overcoming a 6lb rise for the latest of his victories and extending his winning run. Ragtime Red picked up minor money over 1m4f here last week and has place claims off an unchanged mark. Others to bear in mind are recent course second Monsieur Piquer, who drops from 1m4f, and the consistent Turf Range, who was thwarted by only a nose over track and trip off 1lb lower three weeks ago.
Prediction : 1st Rockview Roman 2nd Monsieur Piquer 3rd Ragtime Red
