MANUCCI, a winner on his final Flat appearance at Bath, bumped into the current Triumph Hurdle favourite Goshen when second over course and distance on his hurdles debut, and could go one better now up against lesser opposition. I Like Him has some smart form to his name from France and shaped nicely at Warwick on his debut for Ali Stronge, while Harry Whittington's stable newcomer Black Abbey also merits a place on the shortlist.

It is hard to oppose NEFF, who rates as the pick of Gary Moore's pair following a bright start to his hurdles career this winter. He has finished second in good company on both occasions since scoring over slightly further here in October and can make a return to winning ways. Useful Flat performer Cogital has more than 20 lengths to make up with the selection from when they met at Plumpton earlier this month, but could make the podium with a little improvement, while Soldier To Follow is worthy of a market check.

FLAMINGER could hardly have won more impressively at Plumpton 10 days ago and a 7lb penalty is unlikely to stop him from making it back-to-back victories this afternoon. Templier got off the mark over fences at Hereford last month but will have to improve again to beat the selection today. Brother Bennett's last couple of performances suggest that he could make the frame in a race of this nature.

DOSTAL PHIL was an impressive winner of a maiden hurdle when last seen at Exeter in March and that performance suggests that he may be underestimated by a mark of 125. Falcon Sun failed to fire last time out but is a player based upon his previous second-placed finish at Cheltenham. Jackson Hill and The Game Is A Foot are others who could go well.

BELLAMY'S GREY arguably put in a career best when finishing second over 2m5f at this track last month and a reproduction of that effort today would make the seven-year-old hard to beat. The Tin Miner is a player based upon the pick of his form from last season and he is proven over this trip, while Kilcrea Bridge and Heresmynumber complete the shortlist.

THATS MY RABBIT is clearly the one to beat in this moderate contest based upon his easy victory at Uttoxeter last week, despite having to carry a 7lb penalty for that victory. Lee Side Lady has a decent record at this track and it would be no surprise to see her in the mix once again.
