DEBUCHET was impressive on his chase debut at Fairyhouse in November and backed that up with a very creditable second-placed effort in a competitive Ascot handicap last time. Just 2lb higher and open to more improvement in this sphere, the seven-year-old makes plenty of appeal. Mount Hanover ran well for second at Wexford and is a player on that form, while Minella Till Dawn is also noted.

The West Awaits must be respected on her debut given her connections, but perhaps THE SLIDING ROCK will edge it given she has the benefit of a run at Punchestown under her belt. Third on that occasion behind two potentially smart types in Grangeclare Native, a stable companion, and Jungle Junction, that looks good form and she is preferred. Nelly's Money should also finish thereabouts.
