ALBERT'S BACK wasn't beaten too far when third behind a couple of useful rivals on his chasing debut at Wetherby and he wouldn't need to show much improvement to be opening his fences account. There was a lot to like about Schiehallion Munro's Catterick win over Captain Moirette and he lost little in defeat when second at Doncaster last month. He may need further in time but can keep the selection honest, while a market check could provide the best guide for Stradivarius Davis on his stable debut for Sandy Thomson.

It is interesting that ROBEAM, who was last seen in a Grade 2 at Doncaster, makes the switch to handicap company and he could be the answer here with first-time cheekpieces applied and Brian Hughes taking over in the saddle. Al Kherb had a pipe-opener on the all-weather last month and would have a chance if recapturing the best of his hurdles form, while Celtic Flames shaped nicely to finish third on his first run in 457 days at Hexham and might build on that off the same rating.
