A tricky-looking opener, in which the tentative vote goes to SHERELLA. Her last couple of efforts have been full of promise, both here and at Chelmsford, and she interestingly represents the same trainer/jockey combination that won this contest 12 months ago. N Over J posted a number of solid efforts for William Knight and is an interesting player on his first outing for Mick Appleby, while Drop Kick Murphi, equipped with a first-time hood, and Lingfield third Haraz are other names to note.
Prediction : 1st Sherella 2nd N Over J 3rd Drop Kick Murphi

Bezzas Lad was claimed for 6,300 pounds by Tony Carroll after finishing second in a Wolverhampton seller in September and he's worth a market check at least, as is Sir Mark Prescott's Cliff Wind, who enters handicap company for the first time. However, SWEET SERENADE looks like the one that they all have to beat. She appeared to benefit from the fitting of a visor (worn again) when runer-up in a similar C&D event last Saturday and could go one better quickly turned out off the same mark.
Prediction : 1st Sweet Serenade 2nd Bezzas Lad 3rd Cliff Wind

SOUND MIXER doesn't look too badly treated off 63 given her last couple of performances and, entitled to improve for the application of cheekpieces (replacing blinkers that were worn last time), she is fancied to play a leading role on her handicap debut. There was little splitting Tiltilys Rock and A Go Go when second and third respectively in a 5f contest at Newcastle last month and that pair both merit respect, while Holy Eleanor and Rapidash also have a chance.
Prediction : 1st Sound Mixer 2nd A Go Go 3rd Holy Eleanor

QASEEDA, a half-sister to Group 3 winner Skardu, makes plenty of appeal on her handicap debut having made the podium on her first try over this distance last time and could be the answer. Leg It Lenny has been running with real credit since switching to the all-weather and his experience is respected now wearing first-time cheekpieces. Winnetka and Barking Mad were both silver medallists last time and are others to keep onside.
Prediction : 1st Qaseeda 2nd Leg It Lenny 3rd Winnetka

RAINING FIRE showed plenty of improvement when upped to this distance at Wolverhampton in October and James Fanshawe's Kitten's Joy gelding could go one better than that second here. Thai Terrier was only denied by a short head over 10 furlongs on debut and is a real threat up in trip, while the experience of Mobham has to be respected, as he switches to novice company on the back of some useful efforts in handicaps.
Prediction : 1st Raining Fire 2nd Thai Terrier 3rd Mobham

HARRY'S BAR built on some solid efforts in defeat to make a welcome return to the winner's enclosure over course and distance last month and could have more to come off a 4lb higher mark. Silent Echo wasn't far behind in third that day and is a player off the same mark, while Soldier's Minute has made the podium on both outings since scoring over track and trip in October and has to be respected.
Prediction : 1st Harrys Bar 2nd Soldiers Minute 3rd Silent Echo

JAMACHO ran creditably over shorter at Wolverhampton last time out and is fancied to do even better now trying 2m on the Flat for the first time for Charlie Longsdon. The six-year-old arrives on a fair mark of 65 and could just prove too strong for Adams Park, who drops in class for Mick Appleby after failing to beat anything home in a small field event at Lingfield three weeks ago. Amanto returned to form when third on Tapeta last month and may prove best of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Jamacho 2nd Adams Park 3rd Amanto

PRINCE OF ROME has found just one too good the last twice at Lingfield and deserves a change of luck soon representing Richard Hughes. The four-year-old is winless since September 2018, but remains on a fair rating and perhaps the change of scenery will provide the required spark. Serena Brotherton is always respected in such races and has a good ride here in the shape of class-dropper Hart Stopper, while Wolverhampton runner-up Fuente is another to be interested in.
Prediction : 1st Prince of Rome 2nd Hart Stopper 3rd Fuente
