A drop back in trip could suit Clive Cox's Endowment, who ran better than the result would suggest last time, while similar applies to Rodin, who shaped nicely to finish fourth when last seen. Visionara has been running really well over this trip of late and has to be feared in a first-time visor, while Soar Above was a silver medallist off this mark at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day and can't be ignored.

XIAN EXPRESS has excelled over 5f the last twice and it is interesting that Mick Appleby now steps the Dragon Pulse gelding up to a mile for the first time. Marco Botti's 42,000gns newcomer Settima Luna warrants a market check, with Schumli, a winner over 7f in the past, another to consider.

Almufti settled better when granted some cover at Lingfield last time but his overall profile suggests he may struggle to back that victory up. Of more interest is GLENN COCO, who has winning form over course and distance to his name and appears a danger to all now dropping into 0-85 company. Swiss Cheer won impressively in a lower grade here latest and has place prospects now as he bids to shake off an 8lb rise in the ratings.

AFFLUENCE clearly likes it around here, building on three placed efforts when scoring readily over 1m6f in November, and, only beaten a length over 2m at Lingfield last time, he is arguably the one to beat. Although cutting back in trip might raise a fair eyebrows, he has twice won over this distance in the past and looks sure to go close tonight. Like the selection, Lucky's Dream has put a number of solid efforts together and merits respect, as does the dropped-in-class Wimpole Hall.

SARSAPARILLA KIT has been running well in defeat of late and that includes her second-placed finish at Wolverhampton eight days ago. A reproduction of that performance today would give the four-year-old a big chance. Valley Belle has already hit the crossbar twice this year and she is an obvious threat to the selection, while Tilsworth Rose is the pick of the remainder.
