CHEDDLETON built on his promising Wetherby second to thrash the useful Glockenspiel by 19 lengths in the Bangor mud last time and Jennie Candlish's five-year-old could take plenty of beating if in the same form. Three-time Flat winner Jabbaar was a comfortable winner on his hurdling debut at Sedgefield and appears a real threat to the selection. Mamdood (fourth) and Overcourt (fifth) weren't disgraced over course and distance over the Christmas period and could make the podium with improvement possible, while Lucinda Russell's Perth faller Slainte Mhor is another with each-way claims.

ELVIS MAIL was fancied for the Gerry Feilden on the back of a successful handicap debut on his Ayr comeback, only to be one of those left trailing in the wake of Champion Hurdle favourite Epatante. After the winner's subsequent Grade 1 exploits, that Newbury performance looks better than it seemed at the time and Nick Alexander's charge can bounce back here. Chti Balko almost backed up a Bangor victory when just denied at Haydock and he rates the primary threat, ahead of Dublin Four.

Quite a competitive event for the grade, but MYMILAN has the most scope for improvement and gets the nod. Sandy Thomson's gelding did precious little over the smaller obstacles but showed that chasing is his game when accounting for Warendorf at Carlisle, and it should be a case of onwards and upwards. Westend Theatre had Lowanbehold back in third when victorious at Hexham, while Classical Milano could bounce back from his spill at the same circuit.

Recent Carlisle scorer Chapel Stile has winning 3m form over hurdles and should appreciate this step back up in trip, while Irish raider Neverushacon is also worth a market check.
