BALLYARE went down by the narrowest of margins when second on his debut for the Lucinda Russell stable over 6f here and, likely to improve for this step up in trip, he could go one better off a 3lb higher mark. Penmellyn continues to knock on the door and is likely to be in the shake-up again, while Bold Suitor cannot be overlooked on his debut in handicap company.

COMMANDER HAN has shaped nicely here on both outings since joining Stuart Williams and the five-year-old looks set to take advantage of a nice-looking rating sooner rather than later. Foxy Forever rattled the crossbar off this mark at Wolverhampton last month and the 10-year-old has to be respected. Course-and-distance winner Canford Bay was fourth in that Dunstall Park contest and arrives in good form, with Buniann interesting following a couple of months off.

MONYA was denied by less than a length when sent off favourite at Wolverhampton on debut and Charles Hills' Dark Angel filly, who is a half-sister to the useful Hawksmoor, is likely to be extremely popular once again here. She can get off the mark in this company, with the biggest threat possibly coming from Redesdale Rebel, who hasn't been disgraced in his two outings so far. Bob Beach is the pick of the two newcomers on show, with Deputy Star also respected dropping back in trip.

LORETTA didn't appear to get home over 7f at Wolverhampton on her most recent start so the drop back in trip, combined with first-time cheekpieces on her handicap debut, could aid the cause of the daughter of Iffraaj. She also returns to the scene of her best performance, when finishing third in November, and the four-year-old makes plenty of appeal on her fifth career outing. Puchita has been mostly consistent, placing on six of her last eight runs, and she can enter the reckoning with Lord Of The Glen, who improved when making the frame twice here last month.

JEFFREY HARRIS struggled to land a blow when attempting to complete the hat-trick on his most recent outing but he faced a tough task being effectively 11lb higher without Corey Madden's 7lb claim for his C&D victory two starts ago. The rider is reunited with the five-year-old on this occasion and it would be no surprise to see him back to form. Klopp has knocked on the door twice at Wolverhampton so far in 2020 and she is likely to be in the mix along with Leo Minor, who makes his first start for David Griffiths.
