Having hit the crossbar on his first couple of appearances, CORVAIR made no mistake at Lingfield over the Christmas period, trouncing his rivals by the best part of five lengths. A few of those behind him have run with credit in defeat again since, so the form would appear solid. Ayr Harbour got off the mark in determined fashion on his handicap debut and must be considered a danger, with What An Angel not out of it either.

RIDESON has already been expensive to follow in her brief career to date, but she has probably just been unlucky to bump into above-average rivals rather than having any questions surrounding her attitude. She can reward those who keep the faith, although she takes on some really interesting newcomers. Endless Echoes and 800,000gns Dubawi filly Distant Goddess give Charlie Appleby a strong hand, while Vega's Angel is out of that good mare Lily's Angel and cost Cheveley Park 300,000gns.

TORO DORADO picked up minor money twice at Chelmsford and then built on those pleasing performances to strike at Lingfield. The margin of victory was only a neck but the runner-up had scored before that and again since, so the form looks quite strong. Kilbaha Lady has been holding her form well and didn't get a lot of luck when second as favourite at Newcastle when last seen. Hector's Here, who has been gelded during his time off, and Red Gunner are others to consider.

Snow Ocean had to settle for fourth when on a hat-trick mission here, but he wasn't beaten very far at all and has every chance of bouncing back off the same rating. Even so, MATEWAN looks the one to beat because he has found only one too strong on each of his three starts since returning to action, and deserves a change of luck. Never Be Enough and Fire Fighting aren't out of it either.

TULANE let down favourite-backers twice but still performed with credit, as he did on his most recent start when touched off over 1m6f here. Returning to this trip should help, and he can finally shed his maiden tag. Enmeshing put a disappointing effort behind him when narrowly beaten at Lingfield over an inadequate 1m2f, with Cape Agulhas yet another to arrive on the back of a second placing, although he does seem to save his best for Southwell now.

Enzo has maintained a solid level of consistency since the summer and is sure to be in the thick of the action again. Undercolours showed a bit more when third over slightly further here, but this can go the way of TIO ESTEBAN. The Irish raider finished in midfield at Dundalk on his latest outing, but he justified favouritism when sent to this venue prior to that and can repeat the feat.
