HAZZAAR displayed plenty of promise when finishing third on his hurdling debut at Leicester last month and, with that experience under his belt, the former bumper winner should take plenty of beating today. On The Wild Side and The Cob are others to consider based upon their form in bumpers, while Cook The Books is the pick of the remaining field.
Prediction : 1st Hazzaar 2nd The Cob 3rd On The Wild Side

FINANCIAL OUTCOME won for the first time under Rules by 28 lengths at Doncaster 11 days ago and an 8lb rise in the ratings is unlikely to stop him from going in again today. Fortescue hit the crossbar at Chepstow last time and that followed a victory at Southwell in October. Both of those performances suggest that he could make the frame today, while Big Nasty also merits consideration.
Prediction : 1st Financial Outcome 2nd Fortescue 3rd Big Nasty

Sunset Showdown has proven to be a consistent performer over hurdles and he has to be respected having finished a close second in a Pertemps Qualifier at Cheltenham last time. That said, the preference is for CLYNE. The 10-year-old's last victory came over C&D in March 2018 off just 1lb lower and he arrives on the back of a second-placed finish in a competitive contest at Chepstow last month. Flowery is another whose most recent form suggests that he could make the frame today.
Prediction : 1st Clyne 2nd Sunset Showdown 3rd Flowery

Overawed's hat-trick mission came up short at Newcastle, although she didn't lose much in defeat and the application of cheekpieces can help squeeze out a bit more improvement. Just A Thought has been going well over timber and is bred for fences, but HAUL US IN also switches from the smaller obstacles and has a bit of previous chasing experience. Lucinda Russell's mare went close at Ayr at the start of the month, for which she has been raised 5lb, but she is able to compete here off that same mark of 112.
Prediction : 1st Haul Us In 2nd Just A Thought 3rd Overawed

CHARMIX appears to have been revitalised by the switch to Lucinda Russell's team and proved his 66/1 Aintree third was no fluke when occupying the same position behind Sky Bet Chase fancy Ravenhill Road at Haydock. The assessor has loosened his grip on Neachells Bridge ever so slightly, despite a couple of decent performances in defeat. Belargus is edging closer to the winner's enclosure again, and Down The Highway will pop up before too long as well.
Prediction : 1st Charmix 2nd Neachells Bridge 3rd Belargus

MAIN FACT confirmed the promise of his Exeter third on his first appearance for David Pipe when justifying favouritism at Warwick on Wednesday. This comes soon enough but there appeared to be plenty left in the locker and he can defy his penalty. Out On The Tear broke through over C&D just before Christmas but was previously a well-beaten third in the Southwell race won by All Good Things. Bingo D'Olivate returned to form at Newcastle and could also play a part.
Prediction : 1st Main Fact 2nd All Good Things 3rd Out On The Tear
