Cedar Hill has joined the Iain Jardine team since running out a clear-cut winner at Punchestown on New Year's Eve, but he has to compete here off an 18lb higher mark and that really tempers enthusiasm for his chances. Crackdeloust has gone up 4lb for his back-to-form Newcastle second, although he was pulled up in a C&D event won by Masters Apprentice in December, where Xpo Universel was fourth. ZAMANI was no great shakes on the level but he has taken well to his new career and maybe he can supplement his Fontwell success.
Prediction : 1st Zamani 2nd Cedar Hill 3rd Masters Apprentice

MANOFTHEMOMENT has progressed with every run over fences and he has also been helped by the handicapper's generosity. He appeared to have something up his sleeve when triumphant at Warwick and is taken to defy an 8lb hike. Ringaringarosie couldn't complete a Sedgefield three-timer but she clearly likes it here so has to be a threat. Oscar Wilde put a Wetherby fall behind him when runner-up at Market Rasen, and there is more to come from him.
Prediction : 1st Manofthemoment 2nd Ringaringarosie 3rd Oscar Wilde

DESARAY GIRL has been a revelation since going hurdling, springing a 20/1 Newcastle surprise before causing an even bigger upset in a Listed event at Haydock. There appeared to be no fluke about those victories and she should be able to defy her penalty to round out the hat-trick. Winning pointer Leeswood Lily offered some encouragement when third over 2m1f here and will appreciate the extra yardage. Shallow Run looks the pick of the McCain pair.
Prediction : 1st Desaray Girl 2nd Leeswood Lily 3rd Shallow Run

DAME DU SOIR got closest to the smart Midnight Tune before going one better at Hereford. She has taken well to chasing and can continue on her upward curve. Coole Well hit the crossbar for the fifth time in his last six appearances when runner-up at Taunton, but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with his resolution. The King Of May and Rose Sea Has both struggled after scoring on their penultimate outings, but it is too soon to be writing either off yet.
Prediction : 1st Dame du Soir 2nd Coole Well 3rd The King Of May

WHATEVA NEXT has shown some promise in three outings over timber and the step up in trip on his handicap debut could see the five-year-old find the improvement required. Clondaw Pretender carries a first-time tongue-tie, which might help make a difference to his recent performances, while others to consider include Bertie Blake, a 16-length winner at the course earlier in the month, and Ulterior Motives.
Prediction : 1st Whateva Next 2nd Clondaw Pretender 3rd Bertie Blake

Ask Paddy has to be respected having won twice at Catterick this month but a 7lb penalty will make his life tougher this afternoon. With that in mind, the preference is for BENARTY HILL, who bolted up by 12 lengths last month and a 6lb rise for that victory appears to be very fair. Others to note are Putdecashonthedash, Late Date and Veauce De Sivola.
Prediction : 1st Benarty Hill 2nd Ask Paddy 3rd Veauce De Sivola
