Eeyore was pulled up in that Haydock contest but is expected to leave the effort behind. Sirwilliamwallace's recent second at Ayr would put him in the mix too.

NO HIDING PLACE could prove to be a decent purchase for Jimmy Moffatt having been bought for 10,000 pounds at the Goffs UK August Sale out of Nicky Henderson's yard. The seven-year-old boasts some solid form and can account for the likes of course winner Uptown Harry, who is of interest on his return to handicap company, and Ryedale Racer who is likely to have benefited from a small break after pulling up at Wetherby in November.

SKYHILL arrives in excellent form having won his last three starts and the manner of his latest success at Ayr suggests a 12lb rise might not be enough to stop the seven-year-old from progressing further. Kitty Fisher is likely to benefit from the drop back in distance based on her most recent display at Newcastle, while Eagle Ridge's form prior to his latest effort at Musselburgh would give him a squeak.

Lake View Lad finished third in the Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby on Boxing Day and should be involved once more on his return to timber, while Mcgowan's Pass took a huge leap in the right direction when scoring at Ayr and will be suited by this step up in distance. Preference, though, is for Donald McCain's THE CON MAN, who has been unlucky to bump into two promising rivals at Haydock the last twice and deserves a change of luck off a fair handicap mark.

EBONY JEWEL beat a solid yardstick at Haydock and can follow up under Lucy Alexander. The six-year-old appreciates some give in the ground and can take this en route to better things. Black Pirate was successful on his first appearance for 20 months over Christmas and arrives with strong claims providing he avoids the bounce factor. Doyen Breed is tentatively preferred to prove best of the unpenalised participants.

MASTER MALACHY is related to winners on the Flat and having cost 58,000gns as a yearling, is expected to start his career with a flourish at a track that should suit. Sir Charles Lytton is a rare runner in this sphere for Richard Fahey and warrants a market check, while Lady Villanelle's dam was a bumper winner and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Shantou mare take close order on debut.
