Egotistic might be the pick of the remainder.

SEAFORTH seems to go particularly well for Finley Marsh and had paid his way throughout the winter, with his recent C&D triumph his second of the campaign. Adrian Wintle is wise to get his eight-year-old out again before the assessor can take revenge, and he should be up to defying the penalty. Born To Reason has been holding his form well and remains on a mark off which he can be competitive. Memory Hill has shown bits and pieces of promise in maiden/novice company so is interesting on his handicap bow.

Sherpa Trail made the best possible start to his career here but it wasn't the most competitive of races and he must concede weight all round as a result. There would be no more deserving winner than Badayel, who keeps hitting the crossbar, but perhaps BRENBAR can make it third-time lucky. The Roger Varian-trained son of Scat Daddy improved between his first couple of appearances and that added experience can help him settle a bit better.

LUCKY LODGE continues to prove that age is no barrier to success and made it two from two under Harry Russell at Newcastle last week. As that was an apprentices' contest, he escapes a penalty and can actually compete off a 1lb lower mark so is fancied to take full advantage. Mount Wellington is a big danger because he has won two of his last three, all at this venue, and will relish the rise from 6f. Glory of Paris is another to consider in the first-time visor.

GEIZY TEIZY put a Kempton no-show behind her when numbering Solar Heights among her victims in a similar race over C&D. The handicapper may have taken a chance in raising her just 2lb and she can follow up, although the betting market predicted a better performance from Solar Heights on that occasion and she could finish closer. Kwela is maintaining a solid level of consistency, but handicap newcomers Regal Lilly and I Love You Baby would make more appeal if they weren't wrong at the weights.

Rulers Kingdom left his previous efforts a long way behind him when just holding on at Lingfield, when the line came just too soon for DOLLA DOLLA BILL. That was a really promising beginning to the handicap career of Richard Hannon's colt, and he has more scope for improvement than his reopposing conqueror. Glorious Caesar also offered encouragement on his first foray outside of novice company and will be bettering his Lingfield second before too long.
