Grant Tuer's charge accounted for likely market rival Matewan at Wolverhampton in December and looks more than capable of confirming that form here. Battle Of Marathon only finished second behind a course specialist at Lingfield when last seen, while recent C&D hero Sulafaat also warrants respect carrying a penalty.

Ballet Red won a seller at Wolverhampton last time out and is worth noting on stable debut for Tim Fitzgerald, while Lukoutoldmakezebak has found just one too good here the last twice and could do better from a fairer draw. Preference, though, is for Roger Fell's AL OZZDI, who accounted for the latter eight days ago. A 5lb penalty makes life tougher, but he remains lightly raced over this mile trip and this is another nice opening for him.

Beechwood Jim Bob showed a nice attitude when picked up here last time (finishing fourth) and should be competitive once more, though a step up in trip would have boosted his prospects and AL MAYSAN might just have too much pace under a penalty. An impressive Chelmsford scorer on debut, he is related to a German Listed winner and it would be a surprise if he didn't have more to offer. Queen Of Camelot comes from a family that her trainer knows well and could prove best of the remainder.

RED BOND emerged with plenty of credit from his third at Wolverhampton last month, with it being his first run since March, and the son of Red Jazz makes plenty of appeal with the handicapper leaving his mark alone. First Response went up 3lb for his recent C&D success but meets the selection on 4lb worse terms having finished one place ahead of him in the aforementioned contest at Dunstall Park, while the return to this course might aid the cause of My Target, whose last victory came here off a 2lb lower mark.

SLINGSHOT ran on well to finish third on her handicap debut at Southwell and the extra furlong she encounters for the first time appears likely to suit Bryan Smart's filly. Castlehill Retreat boasts winning C&D form and could get back on track due to the application of cheekpieces, while the return to 7f on a more conventional surface than Southwell might suit Gweedore.

DANCING RAVE built on some solid efforts in defeat when thriving in first-time cheekpieces (worn again) to score at Lingfield last week and she makes plenty of appeal under a 5lb penalty. Course regular Oriental Lilly steps up in trip following a couple of handy efforts recently over 6f, while James Given's Waitaki made the podium over this trip at Southwell last time and is respected off the same rating.

STAR CRACKER edged out De Bruyne Horse to score over course and distance earlier this month and just a 3lb rise for Jim Goldie's eight-year-old gives him the chance of another leading performance. Blackcurrent finished a neck second at Wolverhampton last time and is dangerous stepping up a furlong off the same rating, while Sharrabang wasn't far behind in third on that occasion and is another competing off an unchanged mark to consider.
