The form of FAIR KATE's Newbury success took a timely boost when the runner-up struck at Taunton last weekend and, effectively only 3lb higher with Stan Sheppard's claim taken into consideration, she gets the vote to follow up. Mabela struck at Taunton when last sighted and merits respect, while Homer may improve for cheekpieces and the switch to handicap company.
Prediction : 1st Fair Kate 2nd Mabela 3rd Homer

Global Society won impressively on his jumping/stable debut at Doncaster and should give the follow-up bid a good go, but preference is for the more experienced OFALLTHEGINJOINTS. Colin Tizzard's charge has earned a rating of 132 with a number of solid performances, including when fourth in Listed company at Cheltenham on New Year's Day, and this drop in class should make him tough to beat. Newbury third On To Victory also warrants respect.
Prediction : 1st Ofalltheginjoints 2nd Global Society 3rd On To Victory

ON THE SLOPES posted a solid effort in defeat when third to Simply The Betts in a strong-looking novices' contest at Cheltenham last time and may be able to build on that performance now dropping back in trip and switching to this flatter track. The main danger may be Not That Fuisse, who drops in grade after finishing sixth in a valuable handicap at Cheltenham in December. Providing conditions don't deteriorate, the reliable Jaboticaba is no forlorn hope for a place either.
Prediction : 1st On The Slopes 2nd Not That Fuisse 3rd Jaboticaba

EVA'S DIVA has been outpaced over 2m in maiden and novice contests lately so is a potential improver now stepped up to 2m5f on her return to handicap company. Royal Ruby was having his first start since September when fading into fifth at Newbury last month and is entitled to come on for that outing and take closer order. Others to bear in mind are Imperial Elysian, who has been raised 4lb for scoring over a similar trip at Huntingdon, and El Kaldoun, who was the subject of market support at Market Rasen last month.
Prediction : 1st Evas Diva 2nd Imperial Elysian 3rd El Kaldoun

TOUCH KICK sets a fair form standard after finishing second behind subsequent Sky Bet Chase runner-up Fingerontheswitch over this C&D on his most recent outing and this drying ground should really play into the hands of the nine-year-old. Paul Nicholls' charge remains on an unchanged mark of 138 and could prove too hot for Another Stowaway, who bounced back to form when second at Ludlow last time out. Waikiki Waves' winning run was ended at Sandown a few weeks ago but he still wasn't disgraced up in grade.
Prediction : 1st Touch Kick 2nd Another Stowaway 3rd Waikiki Waves

DIAMOND RIVER shaped with plenty of promise on his debut when third at Warwick and he is entitled to build on that effort with a sounder surface likely to aid his cause. Es Perfecto was bought for 170,000 pounds at the Cheltenham December sale after a 12-length victory in a point-to-point and comes from the family of Corskeagh Royale, who placed in a Champion Bumper. Lord Baddesley, who was second in a contest that has worked out well at Worcester, and newcomer Seymour Promise appeal most of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Diamond River 2nd Es Perfecto 3rd Lord Baddesley

FLINTEUR SACRE showed signs of greenness on his way to finishing second to a well-regarded type of Ben Pauling's at Newbury last month. That said, there was plenty to like about the way he travelled throughout the contest and the brother of Sprinter Sacre wouldn't need to improve on that display to go one better. Force Ten is entitled to come on plenty from his debut at Newbury in November, while Le Bateau is of interest receiving the weight-for-age allowance after his third at Wincanton.
Prediction : 1st Flinteur Sacre 2nd Force Ten 3rd Le Bateau
