One Touch made every post a winning one at Doncaster, but he will do well to repeat the feat giving weight to the likes of KINGSPLACE. Nigel Twiston-Davies' eight-year-old has a bit more experience as a second-season novice and the application of cheekpieces can help him better his Chepstow second. Trincomalee was turned over at odds-on at Leicester but his previous efforts in warm maidens stamp him out as a big danger, and Firak isn't out of it either.
Prediction : 1st Kingsplace 2nd Trincomalee 3rd One Touch

BARD OF BRITTANY couldn't quite supplement his Plumpton triumph under a penalty at Huntingdon on Thursday but, providing this doesn't come too quick, he can gain compensation because he is able to compete off a 3lb lower mark. Sir Egbert is slightly better treated in this sphere than he is over fences so should be able to make his presence felt. Karakoram is holding his form well and, along with Ask Himself, King D'Argent and Sastruga, has to be considered too.
Prediction : 1st Bard Of Brittany 2nd Sir Egbert 3rd Karakoram

NUBE NEGRA looked a natural in winning his first couple of starts over fences and the step up to Grade 1 company didn't faze him when he beat all bar Espoir Du Large in the Henry VIII. He doesn't hold an Arkle entry but still looks a really smart novice and this could tee him up for a target at the Grand National meeting. Torpillo only managed fourth when sent off favourite at Sandown, but is another who can rise quite high through the chasing ranks. Rouge Vif ran really well for second in the Wayward Lad and should be bang there as well.
Prediction : 1st Nube Negra 2nd Torpillo 3rd Rouge Vif

INDEFATIGABLE keeps good company and finished an honourable fifth in the mares' novice at last year's Festival, prior to returning to Cheltenham to pick up a Listed prize. She has been at least as good this campaign and the return to a sounder surface can help her banish her latest Sandown performance, when behind Copper Gone West, to the memory. Legends Gold hasn't done much wrong and deserves her place in the line-up following her Ludlow handicap success. Coded Message held her own in the Ascot Grade 2 won by Magic Of Light, though, and might be the biggest danger.
Prediction : 1st Indefatigable 2nd Coded Message 3rd Copper Gone West

Katpoli returned to winning ways at Wetherby last time but he has yet to win beyond two miles and was well beaten over 2m2f at Taunton in December. Northern Beau is another who has been plying his trade over the minimum distance but she at least has a win over 2m3f to her name, while King Of Realms has been campaigned over 3m of late, winning at this track last spring. GALA BALL gets the vote, though, as he has shown a real aptitude at this trip and is only 2lb higher than when landing the spoils in gutsy fashion at Wincanton.
Prediction : 1st Gala Ball 2nd Katpoli 3rd King Of Realms

Mr Love made it three on the bounce at Southwell in December and could be capable of another bold bid off 8lb higher, but BUSTER EDWARDS has only been raised a total of 7lb for back-to-back victories at Hereford and Haydock so could still be ahead of the handicapper. David Pipe's charge has only narrowly prevailed the last twice but shaped as though he should relish the extra distance on offer here. Potters Hedger ran a solid race when second at Lingfield latest and gets another chance off the same mark, while Urtheonethatiwant struck with some ease over this C&D on New Year's Eve and could figure off 8lb higher.
Prediction : 1st Buster Edwards 2nd Mr Love 3rd Urtheonethatiwant

SIZABLE SAM got within a short head of success on debut at Wincanton and any improvement from that effort could be enough to see him go one better. Wildfire Warrior was a solid second on debut over C&D and could put that track knowledge to good use, while Cadzand had a subsequent hurdles winner behind when second at Newbury and the winning pointer has to be taken seriously. Not At Present is another who showed up well on his debut at Musselburgh, while That's The Badger could be the pick of the newcomers for Tome George, who has an 18 per cent strike rate in bumpers over the last five years, despite being winless this season.
Prediction : 1st Sizable Sam 2nd Cadzand 3rd Wildfire Warrior
