SIR PSYCHO was impressive at Exeter last time and, if he's improved again since, the Zoffany gelding should be up to the task back in against juveniles. He beat his elders with some authority on New Year's Day and everything points to another bold showing. The French raider Rockadenn will appreciate the deep ground and must be respected, while chances are also given to Gerolamo Cardano and The Pink'n.

Lord Du Mesnil racked up a quick-fire hat-trick towards the end of 2019, culminating in a C&D triumph in the mud. A stamina-sapping slog is clearly what he wants but he faces a different calibre of opposition now, with YALA ENKI chief among them. Last year's Gold Cup seventh has made a bright start to life with Paul Nicholls, winning at Taunton after finishing ahead of The Two Amigos and Elegant Escape when third in the Welsh National. Vintage Clouds ran out a decisive winner of the Peter Marsh here, with Geronimo third, but was a long way behind Lord Du Mesnil prior to that.

PORTRUSH TED has had numerous injury issues over the years, but he is a proven Graded performer on testing ground and can really make up for lost time this season for Warren Greatrex. Winner of the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in 2018, he made a pleasing return to action when easily scoring at Ayr last month and a mark of 138 could still underestimate him. Kilbricken Storm has lost his way recently but showed a bit more life when sixth in the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham recently, while Unowhatimeanharry and Welsh Saint are others to merit consideration.

Olly Murphy fires two arrows at this with Chepstow maiden hurdle winner Port Of Mars and Overthetop, who has won two of his last three. The latter was found out in Graded company at Sandown, though, so could struggle against some of these. Kalooki is one such horse after he has bolted up on his last two outings, but RAMSES DE TEILLEE has been a revelation over timber this season and a penalty for his runaway Grade 2 win at Doncaster may not stop him.

The Dellercheckout backed up two point-to-point successes with a victory at Ludlow, where Asangy fell, last time and could be a factor despite his penalty, but this looks an ideal opportunity for ALCALA. Paul Nicholls' chaser looked to be travelling much the best when coming to grief two out at Ludlow and a clear round of jumping could suffice. Wishing And Hoping added to his successful spell in the pointing field with victory at Taunton last month and cannot be dismissed.
