BECKER arrives following solid win and placed efforts at Wolverhampton and Kempton respectively and he could prove difficult to beat under Elisha Whittington, who is one of the more accomplished riders in this line-up. Kath's Lustre has been running consistently well for a number of months and is likely to give another good account, while Time To Reason shouldn't be too far away either.

SPLIT DOWN SOUTH won on his latest visit here and has since posted two solid performances at Kempton. His recent good form means that he now has to compete off a career-high mark of 76, but another bold bid looks assured. Fen Breeze has been knocking on the door and is likely to be in the shake-up again, with Suzi's Connoisseur and Swiss Pride, closely matched on their recent Lingfield clash, other names to note.

Michael Appleby's gelding brings winning C&D form to the table and will appreciate the drop down from class 3 company. Original Choice outperformed all expectations when second behind the classy Mildenberger at Lingfield last time and would be tough to beat if repeating that level of performance. History suggests that is far from a sure thing, though, and LADY BERGAMOT appeals more. The six-year-old has dropped to a tempting mark of 87 and could benefit from a positive ride at a course where she has tasted success before. Lord Halifax is also interesting after a break.

Rulers Kingdom is chasing a hat-trick under Andrew Breslin and should be handed a positive ride once more by the apprentice, but the three-year-old has gone up 4lb and the less-exposed RIVER SONG is taken to double her career tally. Archie Watson's filly made all at Lingfield in January before coming unstuck under a penalty a few weeks later, and the switch to handicap company could see her in a better light. Thomas Lanfiere should also do better this time.

Lord Tennyson is likely to prove popular ahead of his racecourse debut given he is trained by John Gosden and cost 380,000 euros at the Arqana May Breeze-Up in May 2018. The son of Poet's Voice warrants plenty of respect, but the vote goes to SHINE ON BRENDAN, who shaped as though the step up in trip would aid his cause when third over 7f at Kempton last time. Pledge Of Honour appeals most of the remainder.

ROCA MAGICA bounced back to form when landing a classified event over C&D last Thursday and the manner of that victory suggested the return to handicap company might not prove to be an issue for Ed Dunlop's filly. Grandee Daisy arrives in decent form having placed behind the selection last time and she can enter the reckoning with Cristal Pallas Cat, whose recent consistency entitles her to a place on the shortlist.
