Twpsyn also carries a 5lb penalty for his recent Kempton success and is respected in a first-time hood, while Tigray was a course-and-distance scorer on his penultimate outing and can't be ruled out either.

SPLIT DOWN SOUTH continued his fine recent run of form with a victory over this trip at Chelmsford last Thursday and Phil McEntee's four-year-old rates as the one to beat under a 5lb penalty. Smokey Lane was second when sent off joint-favourite at Wolverhampton last time and he is respected off the same rating. Kupa River wasn't beaten far when third at Newcastle recently and is another to note.

ASDAA got the better of Robero by a neck when landing his second win of the year over 7f at Wolverhampton earlier this month and must have a great chance once again following a fair 3lb rise. The latter was also runner-up over 6f here on his next start, and the dual course-and-distance winner should enjoy the return to this trip. Raydiance was victorious over track and trip on his penultimate outing and has to be considered, with Zylan and Mohareb also noted.

Queen Of All made a perfect start to her racing career when striking over 7f at Kempton in November and this well-bred filly is fancied to improve for stepping up in trip. A penalty makes life tough after a break, though, and ROYAL ASTRONOMER makes slightly greater appeal. The Telescope gelding put in a career-best effort when second at Wolverhampton on his most recent outing and the booking of Andrea Atzeni could prove the difference. Hill Hollow can take third.

That was his first win from 11 attempts and, with confidence high, another bold showing is anticipated.
