RIVER DAWN showed his appreciation for the return to a mile when breaking his all-weather duck here at the beginning of the year. A rise of a mere 1lb may underestimate the merit of that performance because the runner-up won twice subsequently, and he can follow up. This trip is sharp enough for Canasta, although she has been freshened up since letting down favourite-backers at Chelmsford. Critical Thinking and Glory Of Paris are rarely too far away, and Zhukovsky is interesting on his handicap bow.
Prediction : 1st River Dawn 2nd Canasta 3rd Critical Thinking

Too Shy Shy has been set some stiff assignments but found her level when making all over C&D, breaking her duck in impressive fashion. Diva Rock also arrives on the back of a breakthrough triumph, although that came last summer, whereas Dark Phoenix has had a busy - and successful - start to 2020. SOUND MIXER has also been kept up to her work throughout the winter, picking up plenty of minor honours, but the return to Polytrack is in her favour and she can register a deserved success.
Prediction : 1st Sound Mixer 2nd Too Shy Shy 3rd Diva Rock

This really should be a straightforward task for HEALING POWER, who sprung a 25-1 surprise on his introduction over Chelmsford's 7f and then had to settle for third when a warm order over a mile at Southwell. He has been given time to get over those two quick appearances in succession, and it will be disappointing if he doesn't prove a class apart from his rivals. The pick of them may be Noble Queen, who has left Andrew Balding since her debut back in October 2018. Irish Charm, a stablemate of the selection, is best of the other two.
Prediction : 1st Healing Power 2nd Noble Queen 3rd Irish Charm

TOTAL COMMITMENT beat Merhoob to the runner-up berth over C&D just under a fortnight ago and can confirm his superiority here and find the improvement needed to go one better. Peter Hedger's four-year-old has maintained his consistency since leaving Roger Charlton and remains on a workable mark. Fizzy Feet was unable to show her true colours at Chelmsford and will be much happier back at this venue, while Deputise is worth a market check on his first outing for Michael Wigham.
Prediction : 1st Total Commitment 2nd Merhoob 3rd Fizzy Feet

Georgia Dobie got a great tune out of Miss Elsa to land a C&D handicap in clear-cut fashion recently. She meets MEAGHER'S FLAG on level weights, though, and is rated 8lb inferior to him on official figures. The son of Teofilo hasn't fired since joining Sophie Leech last summer but the drop to this level could feasibly spark improvement. Vipin hit the crossbar at Wolverhampton recently but is another with something to find with the selection on these terms.
Prediction : 1st Meaghers Flag 2nd Miss Elsa 3rd Vipin

Even though she had an edge in terms of experience, DISTANT GODDESS was forced to play second fiddle to a well-backed debutant from her own stable at Wolverhampton. She still brings a solid level of form to the table, however, and is preferred to True Scarlet, who has shaped like a future winner in two promising runs at Chelmsford and at this venue recently. Another of the Godolphin representatives, Copper Point, is entered in the Derby and is a half-brother to the classy Eminent, whose former trainer Martyn Meade has claims here with Chelmsford third Harmonious.
Prediction : 1st Distant Goddess 2nd True Scarlet 3rd Copper Point
