Since claiming top honours in this race 12 months ago, CREATIVE TALENT has only managed to get his head in front again once - at Brighton in the summer - but his last couple of performances have suggested that his turn is near once more and he gets the vote. Thawry has a poor strike-rate but is rarely too far away and should be thereabouts. Seaforth, Pike Corner Cross and Cafe Sydney enter calculations as well.
Prediction : 1st Creative Talent 2nd Thawry 3rd Seaforth

This appears the stronger of the two divisions and although Traveller arrives on the back of a narrow defeat of Amor Fati over C&D, he may have to play second fiddle to CHEEKY RASCAL this time. Tom Ward's gelding has paid his way this winter by picking up plenty of minor money and competes here off a mark 1lb lower then when beaten by only a bang in-form rival over track and trip recently.
Prediction : 1st Cheeky Rascal 2nd Traveller 3rd Amor Fati

It would be interesting if money arrived for the lightly-raced Slowmo as he returns from an absence on his first start for Antony Brittain, but the much safer option is TABAAHY. The speedy son of Kyllachy so nearly backed up his 5f win here over the same C&D just last week and can gain compensation off the same rating. The sixth furlong may potentially be an issue, however, and, if it is, 7f Kempton victor Johnny Reb may be the one to mow him down late on.
Prediction : 1st Tabaahy 2nd Johnny Reb 3rd Slowmo

SKY DEFENDER had Deal A Dollar back in fourth when successfully handling the step to this distance at Kempton. That made it two from three for the year and now that his stamina is proven, plenty more options have opened up for him. He can continue on an upward curve, although it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if the last-named finished a bit closer. Original Choice is also considered although, to be fair, none of the five can be ruled out with confidence.
Prediction : 1st Sky Defender 2nd Deal A Dollar 3rd Original Choice

UNFORGIVING MINUTE has won on his last three outings when dropped into claiming company, most recently landing the odds with the minimum of fuss over 7f at Lingfield. The Sean Curran-trained veteran is just as effective over a mile and should be able to last home over an extra half-furlong tonight. Lady Reset is a massive threat on these terms and may have even got the nod if she hadn't been absent since May. Scofflaw looks the one for third.
Prediction : 1st Unforgiving Minute 2nd Lady Reset 3rd Scofflaw

After making a triumphant beginning to her career at Chelmsford in August, DEAR POWER was thrown into the Group 3 Dick Poole at Salisbury and was understandably found wanting in a race in which subsequent Cheveley Park heroine Millisle was second. Roger Varian has spotted an ideal opportunity to boost his filly's confidence on her return, although Macho Touch has also kept good company and wasn't beaten far into fifth in a Listed race at York last spring. Lovers Cry offered encouragement on debut at Lingfield, with Midnite Bride considered the pick of the newcomers.
Prediction : 1st Dear Power 2nd Macho Touch 3rd Midnite Bride

BOWLING RUSSIAN numbered Yukon Mission among his victims when justifying favouritism over this distance at Lingfield. George Rooke's claim will again serve him in good stead and he is fancied to follow up. The John Quinn-trained rival does have less then two lengths to make up, though, and is now better off at the weights. Lord P's hat-trick bid ended in failure at Kempton but he must not be given up on just yet, while With Virtue is expected to step forward now she moves out of maiden company.
Prediction : 1st Bowling Russian 2nd Yukon Mission 3rd With Virtue
