John Gosden's five-year-old won a similar contest to this last May, off just 2lb lower, and he did display some promise in subsequent starts in Group/Listed company. Lucky's Dream is an obvious threat having racked up a hat-trick in recent months, while Felix and Home Before Dusk are others who merit respect.

New World Tapestry is a rare runner here for Aidan O'Brien, although he was deemed good enough to compete in the rescheduled Grade 1 Vertem Futurity Trophy at Newcastle and has Ryan Moore on board this time. Chares was unbeaten in his native France, including in Listed company, and warrants a market check on debut for Jane Chapple-Hyam, but BERLIN TANGO makes greater appeal. He performed admirably despite not being suited by the drop to 7f in the Flying Scotsman at Doncaster last season and, now back over his favoured trip, will prove tough to stop.

CHOOKIE DUNEDIN has been successful at Wolverhampton in four of his last five starts, going up 12lb since October, and is taken to strike again despite switching to Polytrack. Keith Dalgleish's charge could still be ahead of the assessor given that he won from a wide draw most recently and is taken to prove too strong for Tranchee, who deserves respect with first-time cheekpieces applied. Youkan has dropped to a tempting mark and won't mind stepping up from 6f.
