SLY MINX confirmed the promise she displayed on her Newmarket debut by finishing third, also over a mile, on her next start at the same venue. That appears to be very strong form, with the fourth, seventh and last all winning since, and she should take plenty of beating. Kommodity Kid disappointed last time but is a player based on his previous effort, while Opera Gift is a newcomer to note.

AFRICAN DREAM was well supported in the market prior to finishing third on her debut at Chelmsford in December. A lack of race experience cost her that day but with that run under her belt, the daughter of Oasis Dream should be hard to beat. Rhyme Scheme displayed plenty of promise on the turf last year and is an obvious threat to the selection. Asbaagh, who cost 450,000gns, is a very interesting newcomer, as is Millicent.

GINGER FOX has impressively notched up a Kempton/C&D double and despite a further 2lb rise in the ratings, he is fancied to complete the hat-trick. Corazon Espinado arrives following three solid performances at this venue, over this trip and 1m, and he is likely to be in the shake-up again. Keyser Soze, Reeves and California Love add further spice to the race.

Being from the Mark Johnston stable, fitness isn't too much of a concern for AFRICAN SWIFT and she is taken to go one better than her second in 0-80 company at Newcastle in October. There are plenty of others with claims, however, including Dashing Roger, who was only beaten a length over this trip at Kempton, and the first-time-visored Sound Mixer.

BERNIE'S BOY was a fast-finishing second over 5f here recently and he might be able to go one better now stepping back up in distance. Tarseekh has been running consistently well for the past year or so and he looks sure to give another good account. Indian Affair and Distant Applause, both arriving on the back of solid placed efforts, also merit shortlist inclusion.
