COOLE WELL boasts some decent form this season over fences, including when placed behind Simply The Betts at Newcastle in November, and the drop into a claimer might give the seven-year-old the confidence boost required. Swaffham Bulbeck won a maiden hurdle on this card 12 months ago and could take advantage if the selection is below par, while All About You needs to step forward from his hurdling debut at Ludlow but may do so after a wind operation.
Prediction : 1st Coole Well 2nd Swaffham Bulbeck 3rd All About You

SHANROE IN MILAN was disappointing on his most recent start when beaten 40 lengths into sixth at Taunton but the return to more positive tactics, which saw him to great effect at Musselburgh two starts ago, could help the eight-year-old bounce back to form. Echiquier is entitled to step forward from his first chase start in the UK when fourth at Kempton, while Onefortheroadtom is capable of being in the mix if reproducing his fourth to Festival winner The Conditional at Cheltenham in October.
Prediction : 1st Shanroe In Milan 2nd Echiquier 3rd Onefortheroadtom

EROS improved from his hurdling debut at Taunton when finishing fourth at Huntingdon last month and the son of Diamond Boy boasts strong credentials as he bids to make it three victories in a row for Olly Murphy. Medalla De Oro was a useful type on the Flat and Harry Whittington's charge arrives for his hurdling debut on the back of wind surgery, while Sorbet's second at Doncaster puts her in contention.
Prediction : 1st Eros 2nd Medalla De Oro 3rd Sorbet

STARSKY has finished third the last twice and seems overdue a victory for Paul Nicholls. The six-year-old had some novice form behind the likes of Edwardstone and Sporting John, while he also finished third when taking on Betfair Hurdle participant Lightly Squeeze at Taunton over Christmas. A strong pace would help him and the son of Shantou is preferred to Josie Abbing, who was third in a competitive heat at Newbury earlier in the year. Corri Lindo may prove best of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Starsky 2nd Josie Abbing 3rd Corri Lindo

Ashutor beat some modest opponents at Catterick last time and Katie O'Farrell's 5lb claim means that the six-year-old effectively races off the same mark as that success. He might not necessarily be suited by this tight track, though, and preference instead is for Nicky Henderson's HOMER. Impressive in victory at Kempton recently despite being weak in the betting, he was useful on the Flat in France and is slowly improving over hurdles. Escapability may prove good enough for third.
Prediction : 1st Homer 2nd Ashutor 3rd Escapability

OZZY THOMAS has found just one too good the last twice and deserves to add another win to his career CV sooner rather than later. The veteran bumped into the classy Duc De Beauchene at Cheltenham earlier in the season before then finding the progressive Young Bull too hot to handle, and with nothing of that calibre in opposition, this is a nice opening. Full Irish scored between the flags when last seen, while The Tourard Man is still running nicely at the age of 14.
Prediction : 1st Ozzy Thomas 2nd Full Irish 3rd The Tourard Man
