UK Horse Racing Tips: Fontwell

WAGNER ran a huge race on his Rules/stable debut for Anthony Honeyball when third at Taunton earlier in the year and is expected to build on that now tackling a bit further. The five-year-old has had a wind operation since and could just have too much scope for Hit The Rocks, who has performed well so far over hurdles since joining Gary Moore. Course winner Corrie Lake may prove best of the remainder.

Daytime Ahead has proved successful in two of her last four starts and deserves respect, while White Chocolate was rated 90 in her pomp on the Flat and has put in three solid efforts over hurdles so far for Seamus Mullins. MISTY WHISKY sits handily at the bottom of the weights, though, and seems to be getting to grips with jumping after finding just one too good the last twice. She was seventh in the Grade 2 Aintree bumper in April and shouldn't be far away.

DELFACE just bumped into one when second at Uttoxeter last month and would prove tough to beat if building on that. A multiple winner over hurdles, he has only had five starts over fences and is fancied to take all the beating. Ouro Branco could find improvement now applied with first-time cheekpieces, while Brother Bennett, a recent C&D scorer, should run well but might be found out by a 6lb rise.

MADE FOR YOU edged a close finish at Musselburgh last time out and hasn't been badly punished by the assessor as a result. Up just 3lb, the five-year-old is open to further improvement and Fergus Gregory's claim is also a massive help. Montys Angel bounced back to a bit of form when third at Plumpton recently, while Galtee Mountain remains on a favourable mark and could strike soon.

LITTLE BOY BORU has improved on his last couple of outings, placing at both Plumpton and Huntingdon, and the veteran performer can handle a 6lb rise in the weights having won off this mark back in February 2019. Chloe's Court ran a lot better on her first outing following a wind operation when third over 2m6f here and she can improve from that effort stepping back up in distance. Others to note include King Cool and Jimmy.

THE DAWN MAN improved for both the stable switch and for the step up to 3m when scoring at Wetherby at the start of the month and Michael Scudamore's gelding could have more to offer despite an 8lb rise. On The Road has been running consistently well since the turn of the year and the switch from blinkers to a visor might unlock more improvement, while Native Robin cannot be discounted on his third at Doncaster last time.

THE RAVEN'S RETURN bumped into a well-handicapped rival at the course last month and the seven-year-old, who has been running well on his last few outings, can get back to winning ways at a course where he landed his maiden hurdle success. Twenty Twenty wasn't disgraced in a competitive handicap at Kempton when last seen and will find this an easier assignment, while Man Of Plenty warrants respect dropping in class after a decent effort at Kelso in December.
