LOUGHAN wasn't devoid of promise on his debut in a Lingfield bumper last November and took a forward step when third on his hurdling bow at Huntingdon 25 days ago. He could improve for the application of a hood and looks sure to play a leading role in this contest. Imperial Icon only found one too good first time out at Huntingdon and warrants plenty of respect representing Cheltenham Festival-winning connections, while K'chou Du Pecos Aa cannot be ruled out either.
Prediction : 1st Loughan 2nd Imperial Icon 3rd Kchou Du Pecos Aa

No No Juliet fairly bolted up two starts ago and is possibly best forgiven her latest effort at Wetherby, where her jockey reported that she had lost her action when pulled up. Course winner Sackett is only 2lb higher than when touched off at Uttoxeter last June and Richard Johnson interestingly takes the ride on him, but a chance is taken on chasing newcomer AMATEUR. He arrives on the back of a career-best performance over hurdles when second at Warwick and could prove tough to beat receiving weight all round.
Prediction : 1st Amateur 2nd No No Juliet 3rd Sackett

ALNADAM was far from disgraced in fourth when stepped up to 2m4f for the first time at Newbury last month and is expected to remain competitive following a 1lb drop in the ratings. The main danger may be Warwick third Demachine, who is sporting a first-time tongue-tie, though it would also come as no surprise to see The Crooner go well, for all he was pulled up when sent off favourite at Kelso latest.
Prediction : 1st Alnadam 2nd Demachine 3rd The Crooner

DEFINATELY VINNIE has winning C&D form in the book and has shaped like his winning turn was approaching when playing supporting roles at Fontwell and Ffos Las the last twice. Ballybreen could put up most resistance if building on his 11-length Taunton victory last time, a win for which he hasn't been hit hard with a 3lb rise. Wayfinder has claims on the pick of his efforts and could similarly take a hand.
Prediction : 1st Definately Vinnie 2nd Ballybreen 3rd Wayfinder

JURYS OUT was still going well when unseating Charlie Deutsch three out here on his chase debut in November and, given plenty of time to get over that mishap, the unexposed Venetia Williams-trained inmate can strike this time. He won easily off 7lb lower over hurdles at Carlisle three starts back and looks well treated in this sphere. Bredon Hill Lad and Angel's Envy are the ones expected to put up most resistance.
Prediction : 1st Jurys Out 2nd Bredon Hill Lad 3rd Angels Envy

THE EDGAR WALLACE is going to take some stopping in the finale as he has improved between runs at Exeter (third) and Doncaster (second) and should have more to offer. The horse which beat him on Town Moor was deemed good enough for the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham and they pulled 21 lengths clear of the third. Ocean Drifter won between the flags late last year and is interesting on his Rules bow, while Mister Watson represents a shrewd stable on his introduction.
Prediction : 1st The Edgar Wallace 2nd Ocean Drifter 3rd Mister Watson
