Baboin drifted in the betting prior to scoring at Uttoxeter last month and even though the six-year-old has only been raised 2lb for that, he doesn't strike as an obvious type to follow up. Little Rory Mac is interesting on his first start for Dr Richard Newland, but this can go to Brian Hughes and FOXEY. Second at Newcastle on his hurdling debut, James Ewart's charge jumped beautifully there and is fancied to go one better on ground that promises to suit.
Prediction : 1st Foxey 2nd Little Rory Mac 3rd Baboin

DUC DE GRISSAY shaped with promise when third behind a smart Paul Nicholls-trained animal at Catterick last month and is fancied to build on that chasing debut now upped in distance. Sandy Thomson's charge should do better in this sphere compared to his hurdling spell and can prove too hot for Manetti, who has twice scored over fences but faces a stronger standard of opposition here despite the small field. Kalaharry's record on heavy ground is modest and the wooden spoon could beckon for him.
Prediction : 1st Duc De Grissay 2nd Manetti 3rd Kalaharry

SKYHILL has won twice and placed twice in four previous visits here and, switching back to hurdles following a successful spell over fences, he looks like the one they all have to beat. Scottish Accent posted a solid third-placed effort on his handicap debut at Catterick and warrants plenty of respect now fitted with both cheekpieces and a tongue-tie, while Island Heights shouldn't be too far away either.
Prediction : 1st Skyhill 2nd Scottish Accent 3rd Island Heights

Proper Ticket is a rare Kelso runner for Fergal O'Brien and must enter calculations on her handicap debut with Brian Hughes aboard, while Blossoming Forth is clearly a lot better than showing on her latest outing at Newcastle, where she was reportedly never travelling and hung left throughout. However, a chance is taken on BONNY HOUXTY, who has shaped with lots of promise in both hurdle starts thus far and could improve for stretching out in distance. Starting handicap life off a fair mark of 106, she ought to go close.
Prediction : 1st Bonny Houxty 2nd Proper Ticket 3rd Blossoming Forth

CRIXUS'S ESCAPE rattled the crossbar in a 2m3f novice chase at Catterick last time and is expected to better that effort now stepped up in trip and moving back into a handicap. Ascot De Bruyere is rated 5lb higher than his last winning mark but has winning C&D form in the book and could feasibly pick up some minor money. Cultram Abbey, who won over track and trip off 2lb lower in April, is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Crixuss Escape 2nd Ascot De Bruyere 3rd Cultram Abbey

PROJECT MARS opened his account over 2m4f at Huntingdon last month and is expected to mount another bold bid off this 5lb higher perch. Artic Mann could step up on the level of form he's shown in novice hurdles now moving into handicap company, while it would come as no surprise to see Ex S'elance take a hand if bouncing back from a lacklustre effort at Sedgefield and running to a similar level as when second at Wetherby in January.
Prediction : 1st Project Mars 2nd Artic Mann 3rd Ex Selance
