MAGICAL LAND's pedigree is littered with juvenile winners and the son of Frankel is sure to have been well educated at home by the Charlie Appleby team. This looks a really interesting maiden, though, so he is only marginally preferred to the John Gosden-trained Kingman colt Existent, who hails from an excellent Cheveley Park family. Saint Lawrence is a half-brother to Roger Varian's high-class juvenile of last year Daahyeh, although he is by Al Kazeem so his future probably lies over further.

CREATIVE FORCE fetched 400,000 euros as a yearling, which isn't too surprising considering he is a Dubawi half-brother to QEII heroine Persuasive. Charlie Appleby's youngster can strike at the first attempt, with Saeiqa an obvious threat as a 130,000-pound son of first-season sire Shalaa. Dark Lion cost around about the same and has to be considered closely, with Yuan Prince another of interest as he is from the same family as Prix de l'Abbaye winner Move In Time.

SKY ANGEL cost 800,000 euros as a yearling and represents the juvenile king that is Charlie Appleby, so she is sure to prove a popular choice on debut. As well as her dam winning over 1m2f at Group 3 level, her half-sister Donnybrook won over this trip as a juvenile and she is taken to do the same first time out. Rumaythah is likely to know her job representing Roger Varian and could be worth a second look in the betting market, with Star Cactus and The Circus other interesting players.

However, the daughter of Final Stage (1m4f winner in France) could find this a sharp enough test on debut so a chance is taken on SETARHE. Roger Varian's filly cost 160,000gns as a yearling and is unlikely to be short of speed, being a half-sister to 5 1/2f Listed scorer Inverleigh. Publicist and Cirrus also represent powerful connections and a big run from either of those would come as no surprise.

MIA MENTO has been raised 2lb for going down narrowly in second over this trip at Newcastle in March but should be thereabouts if running to a similar level on her return to action. Count Otto was performing consistently well on the all-weather in the spring and is a danger to all when operating at 0-85 level. The pick of the remainder may be Ginger Fox, who has winning form over 7f and should not be fazed by a stiff 6f now moving back onto turf.

In an open race the marginal preference is for INCLYNE, who got off the mark at Kempton in August and her two subsequent efforts suggest that her current mark should be workable.
