The return to Polytrack should also suit the four-year-old, who has the services of Oisin Murphy for the first time after being gelded. Something Lucky is consistent at this moderate level, while King Robert is interesting on his first start here.

JAANEH proved disappointing in two starts last season for William Haggas at Yarmouth and Haydock, but she held a Group 1 entry prior to her debut last August and could have benefitted from a long absence. A half-sister to three winners from this yard, it will be disappointing if this Dubawi filly doesn't take a big step forward. Giovanni Tiepolo wears a hood for the first time and won't mind this drop in trip, while newcomer Breakfast Club makes some appeal representing Richard Hannon.

VALKENBURG is an interesting recruit to the Dan Skelton team and this stayer may well take some stopping after a wind operation. The five-year-old appears favourably treated, and although 2m on turf would be preferable, all of the signs point towards a big run under 3lb claimer Megan Nicholls. Percy Alexander should appreciate this return to the Flat after two modest efforts over hurdles, while Herm seldom runs a bad race at this level and has Oisin Murphy on board.

William Haggas seemingly has his horses in good shape so DESERT CARAVAN can maintain his unbeaten record on his return from 203 days off. After a taking debut success at Newcastle, he gave plenty of weight and a beating to a nice filly of Saeed bin Suroor's at Wolverhampton in novice company, shaping as though he'd get 1m4f this year. He could have a fair bit in hand off a mark of 85 looking at his profile and is the one they all have to beat. Sneaky Peek represents the in-form Andrew Balding stable and must enter calculations, likewise Knowing and Sashenka.

RED SECRET got off the mark at Wolverhampton in October and he only found one too good on his final start of 2019. Ed Dunlop has gelded this son of Lemon Drop Kid over the winter and that, along with the application of a first-time visor, can help the four-year-old earn his second career victory. Devizes put in a career best on his handicap debut and he remains unexposed, while Hit The Rocks merits respect on his return to the Flat.

ABEL TASMAN returned to winning ways over C&D in March and a 5lb rise for that victory is fair, which means that the six-year-old is clearly the one to beat today. Noble Account has certainly shown some promise in his three starts this year and it would be no surprise to see him in the mix, while Sweet Charity and Voice Of Calm complete the shortlist.
