The Ballydoyle hand is strengthened further by the presence of Tiger Moth in the line-up, as this trip appears more suitable for him than the 7f he tackled at the Curragh on debut.

A Galileo colt, he could thrive over middle distances this term. Agitare is another who was regularly raced at two, so perhaps Sunchart, a Tipperary maiden winner in October, could emerge as the pick of the remainder.

PEACE CHARTER finished a solid second to Albigna in a 6f Group 2 at the Curragh last summer and was well looked after at Naas when last sighted in August, a run from which she returned lame. She's been given plenty of time to get over those exertions and is expected to show up well for Ger Lyons, on her seasonal bow, now stepping up to 7f. The drop back from 1m will suit A New Dawn, who ran so well in Group 3 company over this trip at the Curragh last year. The likes of Know It All, Celestial Object and Love Locket are also considered in an open heat.

YEAR OF THE TIGER finished third behind eventual 2000 Guineas hero Kameko at Newcastle in the Vertem Futurity last season and could pay that form a further compliment for Aidan O'Brien. Deemed good enough to run in the Dewhurst and Royal Lodge prior to that, the Galileo colt won't mind this drop in trip, and appeals more than his stablemates. Dark Vader was progressive in handicaps last season but needs to raise his game, while debut winner Ten Year Ticket and the talented Edward Hopper are others worthy of attention.

STAR OF CASHEL shaped with promise in two of his three starts as a juvenile last season behind some smart types and, given that his handler has history of making fast starts, is fancied to know his job tackling 7f for the first time. Chris Hayes also takes over and the pair can account for Kodiac filly Cindy Bear, who wears cheekpieces ahead of this handicap/stable debut for Jack Davison. Ioronta progressed nicely at Dundalk last winter and could improve now on turf.

AIRGEAD is a C&D winner and might be worth chancing as he was beaten less than a length into second at Gowran last June on his return from a similar absence. Munfallet isn't without a squeak on the pick of his all-weather form this year and the experienced nine-year-old is no stranger to success on turf. Completing the shortlist is Goodwood Showman, who finished third at Dundalk when last sighted in March.

A tentative vote is for LADY SCATHACH, who was fancied at Gowran when last sighted in October but didn't produce her best. Back up to 1m on her return, this won't take much winning and a repeat of her penultimate third over this distance at the aforementioned County Kilkenny track may well suffice. Reddiac is a fascinating contender debuting for the Cheltenham Festival-winning trainer/jockey combination of Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore, while New Vocation should also be respected.
