OUR LITTLE PONY appreciated the drop back to 5f when scoring at Pontefract in the autumn and the recent rain will have done her chances no harm as she attempts to land her fourth victory at the course. Magical Spirit bounced back to form on his last couple of outings last season and appeals as having further improvement to come as a four-year-old, while Victory Angel has gone well fresh in the past so it wouldn't be surprising to see him in the mix.

GEORGE CORNELIUS sets the standard based on his debut victory at Dundalk last April, when scoring by a wide margin, and he could prove too strong for the opposition having switched to Karl Burke over the winter. Sushi Power was disappointing in two starts as a juvenile but could benefit from the drop in trip, while Ruby Wonder's course form at the start of last year would give her every chance.

MODULAR MAGIC scored a shade cosily on debut at Redcar in September and, having not gone unbacked there, is clearly thought capable of even better things this term. A 5lb penalty makes life tougher, but this contest doesn't look overly strong and he can remain unbeaten. Silver Sniper caught the eye when fourth on debut at Newcastle last week and can prove best of Tim Easterby's trio of runners, while Moon Power is surely better than what she has shown for Karl Burke so far.

RAINS OF CASTAMERE only won a seller at Lingfield two starts ago, but he took another leap forward when successful at Kempton a few months later and has been shrewdly placed once more here racing in modest 0-70 company. Suited by a forceful ride, he promises to be suited by this track if allowed to get into his rhythm early on. Velma put in a career-best effort when second at Newcastle earlier in the year, while Abbotside appeals on handicap debut off 68.

David O'Meara hasn't exactly set the world alight with his start to the season, but DANCING RAVE ran very well when third at Haydock on Sunday and it is no real surprise to see the four-year-old turned out quickly. Twice an all-weather scorer over the winter, he is a capable type on turf, as proven by his victory here on debut two years ago. Dawaaween is interesting on stable debut for James Bethell, while Erich Bloch also appeals on his first UK start.

DAWAALEEB was a winner on the all-weather at Newcastle when last seen and the C&D winner is backed to follow up off just a 2lb higher mark for local handler Les Eyre. Kylie Rules has a fine record here and has won on her reappearance in the past, while Mickey wasn't beaten far when searching for back-to-back Wolverhampton victories in March and is respected off the same rating.

Talking About You showed improvement when upped to a mile at Lingfield in January and Mick Channon's Sixties Icon filly is worthy of consideration as she tries an extra two furlongs. However, Hugo Palmer's STRAWBERRY ROCK cost 32,000 euros as a yearling and there is some useful form on the dam's side of the family which offers encouragement the Rock Of Gibraltar gelding could be the answer. Fellow debutant Man Of Light completes the shortlist.

Imajorblush was second when last seen and, despite having a lengthy absence to overcome, makes appeal on his handicap debut. However, a chance is taken on FANFARONADE, who looked to be getting the hang of things on her final few starts for John Gosden and now makes her first Flat appearance for Charlie Longsdon. She has undergone wind surgery and is now out in a first-time tongue-tie off a nice mark. Flower Power has scored over C&D in the past and is respected, with Vampish and Sociologist also noted.
