NAVAJO SPRING displayed plenty of promise when chasing home the Royal Ascot-bound Dandalla on her debut at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago and she should be very hard to beat with that experience now under her belt. Country Carnival is another who should improve for her first race experience and she could prove to be the main threat to the selection. Blackberry, Conspiracy and Unleash are arguably the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Navajo Spring 2nd Country Carnival 3rd Unleash

ASTROZONE made a winning return to action at Newcastle 11 days ago and even a 7lb rise for that victory may not be enough to stop her from taking this contest as well. Street Life has also been running well on the all-weather of late and he should be in the mix once again, while Stars In The Night and Iva Go are the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Astrozone 2nd Street Life 3rd Stars In The Night

Plenty of these arrive here with claims but none more so than ONE ONE SEVEN, who is a previous C&D winner and he put in an encouraging performance when second at Wolverhampton last time. The Grey Zebedee won twice last year and he remains on a workable mark if ready to go after a 181-day break. The shortlist is completed by Shepherd's Purse, Decision Maker and Indian Pursuit.
Prediction : 1st One One Seven 2nd The Grey Zebedee 3rd Decision Maker

QAARAAT probably doesn't win as often as he should, but Antony Brittain's charge performed with credit when third at Lingfield last week and should really appreciate this switch to a stiff 5f on turf. 1lb below his last winning mark, it is no surprise to see the five-year-old turned back out so quickly and he has been found a weak enough opening. Two-time course winner Arnold ended his 2019 campaign with a solid third at Newcastle, while Astrophysics is another to note.
Prediction : 1st Qaaraat 2nd Arnold 3rd Astrophysics

BAVARDAGES was only a neck behind a nicely handicapped horse when second at Wolverhampton last week and is fancied to claim compensation for Mark Johnston. A typical uncomplicated front-runner coming from this yard, he is only 2lb higher for those latest exertions and looks capable of overcoming a wide draw in stall 13. Take Me To The Sky showed potential in three starts for Ed Dunlop last year and will probably provide the main threat alongside Tapeta winner Chinese Whisperer.
Prediction : 1st Bavardages 2nd Take Me To The Sky 3rd Chinese Whisperer

DANCIN BOY is 2lb below his last winning mark now and, having performed with credit on reappearance when fifth at Newcastle earlier in the month, he is expected to take the required step forward for Michael Dods. This is just the four-year-old's second start since a wind operation and he may prove too hot for Silver Dust, who has been consistent on the all-weather in recent times. Northern Lyte was successful twice here last summer and that will stand her in good stead.
Prediction : 1st Dancin Boy 2nd Silver Dust 3rd Northern Lyte

80-rated Ralph Beckett representative ARABIAN MOON was consistent over shorter trips last year and although his profile screams 'bridesmaid', he's only had one try over this trip and could improve over it at three. My Macho Man struck over 1m on debut at Newcastle in February and promises to be suited by this stiffer test, while King's Castle and Hatheem are also expected to step up on their previous efforts and could take closer order.
Prediction : 1st Arabian Moon 2nd My Macho Man 3rd Hatheem

RAY'S THE ONE found 1m on the sharp side at Newcastle earlier in the month so there could be improvement forthcoming now he steps up in trip with the benefit of that outing behind him. 75-rated Mark Johnston representative Lord Of The Alps steps up from 1m2f and could be tough to keep out of the frame if running to his mark, likewise Sly Minx, who drops from Listed level and makes plenty of appeal on her Lingfield second in the spring.
Prediction : 1st Rays The One 2nd Sly Minx 3rd Lord Of The Alps

Iain Jardine representative Clearance enjoyed a productive 2019, completing a Flat and hurdles hat-trick in August, and is worth monitoring in the betting on his return from an absence, but, with the benefit of a recent pipe-opener at Yarmouth under his belt, WADACRE GALOUBET shades the vote instead. This longer trip is a potential source of improvement for Mark Johnston's charge and he gets the nod. Gabriel Oak is worth a market check on his first handicap start on the level, while Encryption, who debuts for a new stable, is potentially well treated, having won off 2lb higher on Polytrack last summer. Cool Possibility also has claims.
Prediction : 1st Wadacre Galoubet 2nd Clearance 3rd Gabriel Oak
