Normandy Barriere will appreciate the drying surface and has had a wind operation, while Upstaging is on a nice mark ahead of his debut for Tim Easterby.

Wind and gelding operations proved the key for GINGER MAX in victory at Yarmouth earlier this month and Richard Fahey's charge could build on that success here. A 3lb rise doesn't look too harsh for the four-year-old, and perhaps he will kick on now. Drying ground should suit and he appeals more than Ey Up Its Mick, who probably needs some rain, and Phantasmal, who wears a tongue-tie for the first time on just his third start for Karen McLintock.
