BENTHAM won three bumpers on good ground and a return to a quicker surface will suit him now. Gavin Cromwell's charge ran on going softer than ideal over the winter but still produced a couple of decent efforts and more can be expected now. His mark of 121 sets a decent standard in this maiden hurdle. Filon D'Oudairies is rated just a couple of pounds inferior but would need to step up on the form he showed in his most recent outings. Gallowglass makes his return from a long absence and looks one to keep an eye on having been an impressive bumper winner when last seen at the track in May 2018. Jubatus, winner of a Southwell bumper on his sole start, is another that has to be considered. Prediction : 1st Bentham 2nd Filon DOudairies 3rd Jubatus
16:40 Limerick
PASLEY has a recent run on the Flat under his belt and that looks a big plus here. He had some solid placed form over timber last season and with an official mark of 119 he looks good enough to land a race of this standard now. Jon Ess finished last on his recent run on the level but that may have blown away a few cobwebs and he's another that has to be a leading player on his return to jumping. Forty One Winks was a bumper winner when last seen at Kilbeggan, but that was over two years ago and he may be best watched on his return. Rebel Gold has been consistent enough and may be place material against some better-rated rivals.Prediction : 1st Pasley 2nd Jon Ess 3rd Forty One Winks
17:10 Limerick
This looks a nice opportunity for POSEIDON. The Born To Sea gelding has an official rating of 127 and that looks to make him the one to beat in this conditions event. He won his maiden hurdle over course and distance in testing conditions but has also run well on quicker on the Flat so the ground doesn't look a major issue. The danger appears to be the Gordon Elliott-trained Battle Of Wills, who looked a nice sort when winning on his hurdling debut at Naas in January but disappointed subsequently when upped in grade in heavy ground at Fairyhouse. Rewritetherules is a decent hunter chaser but might things happening a bit quickly for him here.Prediction : 1st Poseidon 2nd Battle Of Wills 3rd Rewritetherules
17:40 Limerick
ALICE JOHNSTON looks capable of winning a race of this standard having produced a couple of solid placed efforts last season. She reached the frame on three occasions in the autumn, including on decent ground at Clonmel, and deserves to get her head in front. Money for Shannon Fields on his handicap debut would be noteworthy. The Scorpion gelding showed a bit more on his fourth outing at Clonmel in February, when finishing fourth, and might not be badly treated off 95 here. Still Alive is consistent enough and versatile ground-wise so looks a solid place bet in this company.Prediction : 1st Alice Johnston 2nd Shannon Fields 3rd Still Alive
18:10 Limerick
FLYING RISK won her bumper here last summer and can get off the mark now over timber. The daughter of Shirocco had three solid placed efforts over hurdles earlier this year on much softer ground. Her success here last year came on good ground so a return to a quicker surface could make the difference now. Etincelle Lioterie makes her hurdling debut now and could prove the danger. She had some nice runs in bumpers last year, particularly when chasing home Daylight Katie at Gowran, and as a former point-to-pointer jumping should be her game. Mystery Stowaway disappointed on her last couple of outings, last season, but the pick of her form gives her a shout.Prediction : 1st Flying Risk 2nd Etincelle Lioterie 3rd Mystery Stowaway
18:45 Limerick
TIGER TWENTY TWO is another who may appreciate returning to a sounder surface here. Gordon Elliott's charge was well beaten on soft ground when last seen at Clonmel in October. He had been an impressive winner at Gowran earlier that month before a solid run off this mark at Downpatrick. Most of his form has been on better ground, including his two career wins. Hello Pilgrim will enjoy the ground and she looks on a competitive mark having been placed off the same rating when last seen at Downpatrick last August. Ocean Glandore stays well and could get involved in the finish.Prediction : 1st Tiger Twenty Two 2nd Hello Pilgrim 3rd Ocean Glandore
19:15 Limerick
Just one with a previous run and the vote goes to the Willie Mullins-trained newcomer NEGRONI given the incredible record the yard has with fillies in bumpers. This daughter of Shantou is a full-sister to two horses who have won for the yard, Itsonlyrocknroll and Stones And Roses, while her other half-brother Golazo was also successful for the stable. There are some beautifully bred fillies in this including Derrinlaur Bill, a Windsor Knot half-sister to Reserve Tank, and Rock Me Robin, a Shirocco daughter of smart mare Little King Robin. Mark Fahey's newcomer by Ocovango, Anna Van Go, is a half-sister to Black Hercules. Prediction : 1st Negroni 2nd Derrinlaur Bill 3rd Rock Me Robin
19:45 Limerick
Gordon Elliott's newcomer JAWBOX has an interesting pedigree. The Rip Van Winkle gelding is a half-brother to Kilimanjaro who won a Listed race for Aidan O'Brien and was placed fourth in the Irish Derby. All his runs came on fast ground so presumably the going today shouldn't be an issue for this Flat-bred grey. Joseph O'Brien saddles Born To Sea newcomer Big Jim Dwyer, another with a Flat pedigree. His half-brother Motajaasid won three times in England, once over five furlongs and twice over a mile. Blackpoint is another with very much a Flat pedigree. The Kodiac gelding is a half-brother to Listed winner Canary Row. Prediction : 1st Jawbox 2nd Big Jim Dwyer 3rd Blackpoint
