BLUEBELL TIME has been slipping down the handicap for the past year and finally took advantage on her return to action over C&D last week. She only just prevailed so a 5lb penalty doesn't help, but there should be more to come from her now she has fitness on her side. Under Curfew has been busy in 2020 and continues to pay his way, although he does seem slightly happier on an artificial surface. Beverley third David's Beauty rounds out the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Bluebell Time 2nd Under Curfew 3rd Davids Beauty

CHICA BELLA was only beaten a couple of lengths into fifth on her Newmarket debut, and the winner ran well in the Albany last week. David Loughnane's youngster then went to Leicester, shaping with encouragement again, and her experience could prove crucial. Hattusa was sent off favourite on her Chelmsford introduction and although she could only manage fourth, the rise from 5f will suit her. Go Greta should leave her Windsor run behind, and Twilight Flame is an interesting newcomer.
Prediction : 1st Chica Bella 2nd Hattusa 3rd Twilight Flame

Desert Land burst into life at Lingfield, breaking his duck at tasty odds, and his confidence will be buoyed. However, EQUIPPED was only half a length away in a share of second and a 2lb pull in the weights could help Mick Channon's sprinter gain his revenge. Grey Galleon doesn't have the best of strike-rates but made a really promising start to life with Roger Teal when runner-up at Yarmouth. Powerful Dream isn't out of it either.
Prediction : 1st Equipped 2nd Desert Land 3rd Grey Galleon

MARSHAL DAN was no match for a rapidly-improving rival at Kempton, but he was still best of the rest and finished two and a half lengths clear of a subsequent winner. He travelled really well there, so the drop from 1m should help him in his bid to go one better. Oloroso was a solid fourth on the same card, while his handler Andrew Balding used to train Kitcarina, who is interesting on her first appearance for Clive Cox.
Prediction : 1st Marshal Dan 2nd Oloroso 3rd Kitcarina

PEACHEY CARNEHAN was backed into favouritism over 6f here last week and duly obliged, producing a strong finish to win going away. He is just as effective over this distance and although he doesn't always put two runs together, he is worth sticking with. Incentive was a position in front of Fieldsman when fourth at Chelmsford, on a day when Entertaining made a satisfactory return to action at Lingfield.
Prediction : 1st Peachey Carnehan 2nd Incentive 3rd Entertaining

Campari acquitted himself quite well against some smart opponents last season but lacks a recent run, whereas AL QAASIM made a pleasing start to his career at Haydock just a fortnight ago. The son of Free Eagle cost 400,000 euros as a yearling so it will have been a difficult decision connections had to make to geld him, but he could make up into a useful performer. Mahanakhon Power also cost a pretty penny, while fellow newcomer Secret Moment is out of a UAE Oaks winner.
Prediction : 1st Al Qaasim 2nd Campari 3rd Mahanakhon Power

LIMELIGHTER took to hurdling quite well last autumn, but made a big step forward on his return to the level when hosing up at Windsor last week. He will presumably be hit with a big hike so Sheena West's hand may be forced, but the decision to turn him out again quickly can be rewarded. Levanter found only one too strong at Lingfield on Friday, while Sir Plato hasn't had much of a rest either after his C&D second. Give Mabo plenty of thought too.
Prediction : 1st Limelighter 2nd Levanter 3rd Mabo

ZAGRAH's encouraging second on debut at Kempton last summer reads even better now because the winner has gone on to land the Lingfield Oaks Trial. Owen Burrows' Dansili filly is bred to come into her own over middle distances and can return with a victory, possibly at the chief expense of Kempton runner-up Damage Control. There are plenty of winners in Sea Bay's pedigree and she could also play a part on her first taste of competitive action.
Prediction : 1st Zagrah 2nd Damage Control 3rd Sea Bay
