Glorious Rio took a big step forward when fourth at Wolverhampton earlier in the month and he is respected back at this distance, while others to note include Kingsholm, who has been gelded and is now with James Fanshawe, and Summit Fever, a half-brother to Group 3 winner Yafta.

Takeonefortheteam had everything go his way at Kempton in victory 10 days ago ago and, now on turf under a 5lb penalty, might just find this a bit tougher. Peruvian Summer struck on his final start for Kevin Frost at Newcastle when last seen in March and deserves respect, while Elusive Heights is frustrating but showed more when second at Pontefract recently. Preference, though, is for ABSOLUTE DREAM. He caught the eye when fourth on Tapeta three weeks ago and this step up to a mile on decent ground looks exactly what he wants.

The four-year-old relished the step up to a mile on that occasion and she remains well treated following a fair 3lb rise. Luke McJannett saddles two with solid claims in Burguillos and Act Of Magic. The former placed at Chelmsford recently and is the slightly better of the pair, with Newcastle fourth Mudawwan also considered with Gianluca Sanna removing 7lb.

WISE GLORY took a step in the right direction when picking up the silver medal over this trip at Newcastle earlier in the month and sets the form standard for the rest to aim at. King Fairy finished an outpaced third on debut at Newbury and is a potential improver now tackling this longer trip. Others to bear in mind are Red Centre, who was third to Cap Francais two seasons ago and has raced only once since, and newcomers Golden Pine and Haikal.

My Frankel could take a forward step for Sir Michael Stoute and is also worth noting.
