Others to bear in mind in an open heat are Dawaaleeb and Star Shield.

BORN A KING was disappointing when fourth at Kempton earlier this month, but he previously shaped nicely when fourth on debut and must be fairly handicapped off 74.

BAL MAL looks progressive and shaped with plenty of promise when hacking up at Beverley four days ago for John Quinn. A 6lb penalty is partially negotiated by Cieren Fallon's claim, and it will be disappointing if the three-year-old doesn't go very close here. Ice Ice Lady won a weak race at Lingfield on debut and got found out slightly when third at Chelmsford latest, while recent Wolverhampton third Ruby Wonder is also noted back on turf.

UNDERCOVER BROTHER gets the tentative vote in what looks a fiercely competitive sprint handicap. He showed bags of early speed when almost making all at Beverley 10 days ago, particularly impressive as he was drawn wide in 12, and similar aggressive tactics could pay off this time. Van Gerwen made a pleasing return when third at Thirsk and he should run well off a mark of 64 once more, while Boudica Bay (second), Compton's Finale (third) and Longroom (fourth) are closely matched on their Newcastle clash three weeks ago and all three have a chance in this contest.
