ORBAAN is a very interesting recruit to the yard of David O'Meara having been bought for 55,000gns last autumn. The son of Invincible Spirit contested the 2018 Sussex Stakes and he was last seen finishing a close fourth to Barney Roy in a Listed race last May. A mark of 100 should be fair, although he does have to prove himself on fast ground. Wadilsafa, who is a Listed winner, was disappointing for most of 2019 but a wind operation over the winter may spark a change in form. Others who merit consideration are Alfred Boucher, Ambassadorial and Power of Darkness.

EQUIANO SPRINGS arrives here having won two of his last three starts and that includes a victory over C&D in September. The six-year-old remains on a workable mark and he should take plenty of beating. Tin Hat hit the crossbar here earlier in the month and he should be in the mix once again, while Colonel Frank is the pick of the remainder.

TIME SCALE clearly benefited from her course debut when proving to be in a different league to the opposition at Chepstow and, based on that performance, she is well worth her place up in class. Kadupul overcame a slow start to win on her first outing at Yarmouth and warrants plenty of respect, while Albany fourth Undertake and Chelmsford scorer Concessions are others to note.

It was only a handicap that ALIGNAK claimed on his return at Newcastle but he appeared to win cosily that day and is expected to make up into a Pattern performer this term for Sir Michael Stoute. Strictly on the figures, Pablo Escobarr and First In Line are leading contenders, while El Misk progressed on the all-weather during the autumn and could take a hand if transferring that form back to turf.

CHARLIE D was running well on the all-weather earlier in the year and, in this small field, he could be a tactical danger to all from the front if it turns into a dawdle. Another to note is Island Brave, who kept on from the rear into fifth over 1m4f at Newbury and could appreciate this stiffer test.
