Course-and-distance scorer Holdenhurst was running consistently well before his break and merits consideration now returning, while Princely must have a chance lining up off the same mark as when narrowly beaten on his Lingfield return. Thegreyvtrain and Devils Roc also hold claims in a competitive handicap.

UNION ROSE only found one too good over a trip slightly shorter than this here a week ago and he appears to be the one to beat off a 3lb lower mark. Real Estate has been in running consistently well for a number of months now and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection. Others to note are Boom The Groom and May Remain.

Macho Boy failed to fire on his handicap debut but his juvenile form is very encouraging and it is too soon to be writing him off.

Arabian Moon is rated 79 on official figures and sets the form standard on his placed efforts at Windsor and Chelmsford, though he's already had plenty of chances to open his account and is fitted with first-time blinkers. It might be worth siding with A LA VOILE, who shaped encouragingly over 7f on debut at HQ last year and could relish this additional furlong. Tawtheef and Star Of Wins are others to note.

ROCK OF FAME was touched off by a short head on her handicap debut off 1lb higher over this trip at Windsor but it would appear she is nicely treated, having been handicapped on her juvenile form up to 6f. She's officially 6lb well-in and boasts leading claims. Marie's Gem rattled the crossbar off this mark at Redcar recently and can fight it out with the consistent Pilot Wings, who recently picked up minor money at Lingfield, for the silver medal.

COMPETITION failed to justify favouritism when runner-up over 1m2f at Haydock last time but is a likely improver now stepped back up to this longer trip. General Brook has winning C&D form in the book and should be thereabouts if match fit on his seasonal return, with similar comments also applicable to Filament Of Gold, who is rated only 2lb higher than when striking here over 1m5f in September.
