The obvious danger among those that have run looks to be the Ger Lyons-trained Nimbostratus. This Wootton Bassett filly showed plenty of pace when third on her debut at Naas behind More Beautiful. Johnny Murtagh's newcomer Winter Oasis, a daughter of Oasis Dream and dual Group 3 winner Lady Springbank, looks one to note in the market.

FOREST OF DREAMS looks capable of stepping forward from his debut run here last month and can get his head in front now. The son of No Nay Never finished fifth behind Chief Little Hawk on his first outing and should know more now having been awkward out of the stalls. That just put him on the back foot a bit and he ran nicely out on the outer, showing potential. Puerto De Vega is the obvious danger having been third in a strong maiden won by Admiral Nelson on his debut at the Curragh. The runner-up Merchants Quay recently franked that form. Money for the Paddy Twomey-trained newcomer Repute would be of interest. The Acclamation colt is out of a French listed winner.

Last year's winner FACE OFF comes into this off the back of a good run at the track 10 days ago and may be able to repeat her victory of 12 months ago. Charles O'Brien's charge stayed on nicely to chase home a well-handicapped rival in Boughtinthedark last time and still looks on a competitive mark despite a 4lb rise. Limit Long also ran well well on his last visit, chasing home Illetas, and also commands respect off a 4lb higher mark. Tide Of Time beat recent Curragh winner Strong Johnson when last seen at Naas in November and while that rival has undoubtedly improved since it still looks a nice piece of form. The dual course and distance winner could be involved on his return despite a 8lb rise.

MISTY MILLIE was held up off a slow pace last time at Leopardstown and ran quite well in the circumstances to finish sixth behind Dollar Value. The three-time hurdle winner's only success on the level came at this venue, and the drop to 10f will probably be in her favour. Hinemoa's dam Leah Claire was a topper recording nine career wins, and she ran well in her first handicap at Gowran. She might turn around form with the winner that day The Lady's Bid who's taken a fair hike in the ratings. Santorini Sun (second) and Drummer (sixth) both performed well behind Lieutenant Silver at Leopardstown, and perhaps the latter (well-bred and less exposed) might fare the better of the pair on this occasion.

Being drawn widest is no help, but GUIDO RENI might be able to overcome that disadvantage to score for a stable in great form. A winning hurdler in 2018, he also ran well on the Flat at the Galway Festival that year and came back off a long lay-off with a good third at Fairyhouse last week. Top weight Lady De Vesci is a Dundalk specialist but ran well at Roscommon last month and should be thereabouts, while Rockview Roman is similarly effective on Polytrack but also emerged with credit when running fourth at Tipperary after a five-month absence. Ellaat is worth considering on some solid form last summer for his previous yard including a win over this trip at Ballinrobe, while Tony Martin's pair Day Dreamin' and Ventnor haven't shown much yet but are unexposed and possible improvers.

PROTAGONIST may be able to complete a hat-trick despite having top weight to carry after having gone up 16lb in the ratings. He appeared to win with a bit up his sleeve at both Gowran and Fairyhouse having joined his present trainer from Jamie Osborne. Baby Zeus beat King Edward VII runner-up Arthur's Kingdom in a Killarney maiden last year, and the full-brother to useful dual purpose performer Lagostovegas can do well over middle distances this term. Curragh maiden winner Delphi might be fairly treated and is expected to be suited by this step-up in trip, while best of the lightweights might be Crassus, third to a subsequent Group winner in a course maiden last term and not beaten far in his comeback run at Roscommon.

Edification, TARTLETTE, Kasperenko, Major Reward, Latoyah Of North and Magnetic North (2019 winner of this event) are in opposition again having contested the 'Ragusa' at the Curragh last time. Edification came out on top on that occasion over a mile and a half but local mare Tartlette is taken to gain revenge back at this 10-furlong trip. At a purchase price of 11K in July 2019, owners, the Eyeroller Syndicate, knew they had got serious value for money when the daughter of Champs Elysees scooted in twice at Dundalk in the latter stages of last year. Her aforementioned latest effort, her first in 218 days, was more than creditable and she can come on enough from it to shrug aside a five pound rise in the ratings. The widest draw in twenty is hardly helpful but trust Seamie Heffernan to overcome that impediment. A lot of eyes will be on Patrick Sarsfield. Extremely strong in the market this fellow bolted in from a mark of 86 at Leopardstown twelve days back. Fifteen pounds higher now, he's still a big danger to all. Plenty of others are worthy of consideration including Padraig Roche's stable debutant, Pesto.

Nice to see Grade One-winning novice hurdler Felix Desjy make his Flat debut, 430 days since his last appearance in public. The chestnut obviously has the potential to be a huge player here under Jamie Codd, whilst Derek O'Connor's presence on Pike County is also noted. Though not on the level of Felix Desjy, that Baltic King gelding is a useful National Hunt type and he wouldn't appear to be short of 'toe'. For a selection RASIYM is tentatively chosen to make race fitness count. At Limerick on June 17th he finished runner-up behind subsequent winning handicap hurdler Shanroe. Fourth on the occasion, Thosedaysaregone, is in opposition again, and perhaps Rasiym can confirm placings at this longer trip. Thosedaysaregone re-opposes on better terms with Philip Byrnes' seven pound claim, and he looks sure to be there or thereabouts.
