MY MIDNIGHT might gain a deserved win here. She has yet to win in ten starts but was placed seven times and while her lack of a recent run is a minor concern, her overall form (she was fourth in a Listed race two starts ago) is very consistent and while rated just 113, her rider claims a helpful 5lbs and she receives 8lbs from the previous winners. Bioverdia is one of those previous winners and is an obvious danger. She was held disputing second when falling at the final flight at Roscommon 10 days ago (Cornahill Rose was behind in fourth) but there was no disgrace in that effort, which was her own first run back. She should go well from her big weight and should give the selection a race. Jubatus was easy to back on hurdles debut at Limerick 12 days ago and while well held, is capable of improvement and could get involved here. Sani Pass was bought for 16,000 pounds following her point to point debut runner-up effort and is likely to have ability for the track.
Prediction : 1st My Midnight 2nd Bioverdia 3rd Jubatus

MOYODE LADY might prove best in this very ordinary handicap. She hasn't raced since January and her best form is on testing ground but today's race looks ideal, having previously shown form at 2m4f. She would ideally prefer a softer surface but has at least shown form on good ground in the past, with her rider claiming 4lbs today. Maria Francesca showed a little progression in a first-time hood at Tipperary eight days ago and while she was well held on the day, the winner has at least won since and she should go well under a 4lbs claimer today. Zagnzig has form at this level but hasn't run for 266 days while I'm On Snap showed improved form when third at Kilbeggan five days ago and has place claims. Miraculum is a well bred type who ran a nice race from the basement flat rating recently and should get involved today on handicap hurdle debut. Mister Butler is a dual winner, including once over course and distance, but was well held on reappearance run recently.
Prediction : 1st Moyode Lady 2nd Maria Francesca 3rd Zagnzig

VERY EXCELLENT can make a winning return here. He was a useful flat performer, has shown good hurdles ability and while well enough held on his latest run at Leopardstown last Christmas, this is a drop down in grade and he could take plenty beating. Oak Park does have recent form to his name and also holds Top Line Tommy by 1.25l on a previous meeting on new year's eve and both horses can get involved the business end (Top Line Tommy was well beaten by the selection last October but is better than that showing). Pepper'n Salt was well held on his latest hurdles outing in January but this is a lesser level and he could go well today, representing a yard which targets this fixture. Tham Luang showed some bits of useful form on the flat and ran a good race at Tipperary recently, finishing in front of Soloheadbeag.
Prediction : 1st Very Excellent 2nd Oak Park 3rd Top Line Tommy

This is a minefield for punters with EAGLE MOON the pick despite being beaten 97L on his previous start. The son of Spanish Moon showed good ability in his only completed French bumper start in October 2018 when finishing a short-neck second and while there was some encouragement when he finished fourth at Gowran in November 2019, he was nonetheless well held. However that was a far, far stronger race to this and with his yard in such good form, he can be expected to go well under Robcour's first choice jockey Robbie Power here. Felino De Bersy represents Cheveley Park Stud but he comes here with plenty to prove having been friendless in the market before showing nothing on debut at Leopardstown in March. Haggard Lad ran a nice enough race when a well held third at Thurles in February but is surely vulnerable unless he can find more improvement. Wishful Thinking was beaten 137L on debut and while it is notable that Gigginstown still retains him as a 7yo, he might have to settle for a just minor part today.
Prediction : 1st Eagle Moon 2nd Felino De Bersy 3rd Haggard Lad

PASS HYMN bids to follow up last year's win in this race and can do so. A bumper winner on debut in 2017, last year's win was just his second career success but he is a consistent performer who goes well on today's ground, and can cope with a 5lbs higher mark than when winning here last year. Stylish Moment has his first start since November and competes from a favourable hurdles' rating. He was just a modest performer in Britain for Alan King but seemed to show some improvement when sent chasing last year, winning twice and improving his chase rating to a current 122 mark, which is 15lbs above his hurdle rating. His latest handicap hurdle run was an encouraging second at Thurles in November and he is proven on today's surface and trip but might ideally prefer a slightly longer trip. Accidental Rebel ran a nice race behind a well handicapped winner at Tipperary eight days ago and while proven in the grade, might nonetheless bump into a few too strong again today.
Prediction : 1st Pass Hymn 2nd Stylish Moment 3rd Accidental Rebel

Five for Gordon Elliott, two for Henry de Bromhead and two for John McConnell in here. One would imagine that the Cullentra House team might carry off the main honours with that weight of numbers, and SILVER STAR gets the nod. The main reason for rowing in behind the French-bred grey is the fact that he's had a recent run, finishing third behind Powerful Ted and Geolai in a mile and a half maiden at Fairyhouse in the middle of last month. Easy-to-back then, that effort should leave Silver Star set for a major assault on this contest. Ming Dynasty won this last year off a mark of 124. It'll be more difficult for him here from a perch of 132. Razoul and Effernock Fizz (a former track and trip scorer) drop back from the graded company they kept last time with prospects. Poseidon is another to factor in.
Prediction : 1st Silver Star 2nd Ming Dynasty 3rd Razoul

It looks significant to see Patrick Mullins on STATE OF GLORY, ahead of his father Willie's Fitness Du Sud (Jody Townend). The loss of Fame And Glory has been much lamented and one would have thought that his daughter, State Of Glory, must be showing plenty at home to warrant the booking of the record breaking amateur rider for her racecourse bow. Tullybeg, Fairytale Bliss and Memories Remain are among the others that need to be kept in mind. Tullybeg could be helped by the addition of a tongue-strap for his first run in a bumper, after gaining jumping experience. Better ground may help Wellsiraussie, as he was pulled up on a soft to heavy surface when last seen.
Prediction : 1st State Of Glory 2nd Tullybeg 3rd Fairytale Bliss
