Almareekh, Arabian Romance and Ice Sprite complete the shortlist.

VENTURA TORMENTA was pitched into the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot on his debut and there looked to be plenty of ability to work with as he ran on well past beaten rivals to take sixth. A step up in trip looks sure to suit the 95,000-pound buy and he could take all the beating here. Cheekpieces are now tried on Sidi Mansour to eke out some improvement, though a bigger danger could be 120,000-guineas newcomer River Wharfe.

TSAR made a good attempt at giving away 7lb when second to the talented-looking Lord Campari at Newbury and the form of that race appears strong, with the third scoring at Hamilton last weekend. The unbeaten Yes My Boy and World Title give Archie Watson a strong hand, while there should be lots more to come in this sphere from Rovaniemi and Oslo.

IN THE RED arrives on a treble after posting two easy victories at Kempton and could feasibly defy an 8lb rise for the latest of them. Chloellie is rated 4lb higher than when scoring over this trip at Wolverhampton in March and could play a minor role, while any money for C&D winner Herringswell, a stablemate of the selection, would also be worth heeding. Penarth Pier is only 2lb above her last winning (all-weather) mark and also commands respect.

ICE ICE LADY should be sharper for her recent run off this mark at Redcar and could take closer order with the benefit of the outing behind her. Sparkling Diamond has slipped to a workable rating and could feasibly finish on the premises if taking her place here after an engagement at Wolverhampton on Friday, while any money for Tony Carroll's Blue Venture, who had a recent spin at Chepstow and was sent off favourite, would also be worth noting.
