CAROLINE DALE ran an absolute screamer in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, finishing third behind US raider Campanelle, and this looks an ideal opportunity to open her account before returning to Pattern company. Mahale floundered in the Albany but looks the pick of the others to have raced on her debut fourth at Newmarket. Richard Hannon's Thank You Next could be the pick of the newcomers.
Prediction : 1st Caroline Dale 2nd Mahale 3rd Thank You Next

Konchek hasn't won since his debut, but he was not disgraced in the Wokingham and has slipped to a workable mark, while Spoof is another who could prove well treated if only he would deign to settle more in his races. Amplify is still 4lb higher than his last winning figure but wasn't beaten too far over a furlong further here last time, though preference is for BLUE DE VEGA. Robert Cowell's seven-year-old hasn't won on turf since 2018 but his rating has tumbled as a consequence and he hinted that he might be ready to take advantage when third at Haydock.
Prediction : 1st Blue De Vega 2nd Konchek 3rd Spoof

COLLINSBAY ran a highly encouraging race on debut at Doncaster, finishing within two lengths of the winner, and can provide The Queen with a winner here. Richard Hannon's colt will need to build on that first outing as Imperial Fora is a danger following a pair of runner-up finishes, including over this C&D most recently. City Code showed he was heading the right way when third at Newmarket, while Andrew Balding takes the wraps off the speedily-bred Night On Earth.
Prediction : 1st Collinsbay 2nd Imperial Fora 3rd City Code

GHEPARDO made a decent fist of things from the front here last time and could dictate terms to suit herself off the same mark. Who Told Jo Jo was only narrowly denied at Chelmsford and has claims, though he was behind the selection when they met at Kempton last month. Good Answer was not disgraced at Chelmsford and could improve for the return to turf, while Dean Ivory fires two arrows in Lordsbridge Boy and Dor's Diamond, and both could get involved.
Prediction : 1st Ghepardo 2nd Who Told Jo Jo 3rd Good Answer

BRIGHT EYED EAGLE took the step up from a mile to 1m4f in his stride at Goodwood last month, winning a three-runner affair with some ease. The distant third in that race has since put in a respectable effort off a mark of 70, so a rating of 83 still looks reasonable for Ed Walker's colt. Aquileo ran a solid race on his handicap bow at Haydock and is interesting off just 2lb higher, while Salamanca School disappointed on his seasonal reappearance but it's far too soon to write him off.
Prediction : 1st Bright Eyed Eagle 2nd Aquileo 3rd Salamanca School

ITSALLABOUTLUCK has done his best running to date on the Fibresand at Southwell, but this looks an ideal opportunity to show he can reach that level on turf. Talking About You was not disgraced in handicap company at Leicester and may improve for the switch to plating class, while Herodotus could be flattered by a mark of 65 after beating just one home at Lingfield on his return. Webuyanyhorse was rated 73 for his handicap debut but has been miles below that level of late.
Prediction : 1st Itsallaboutluck 2nd Talking About You 3rd Herodotus

Settle Petal is brought out quickly after winning well over track and trip just over a week ago and it may be that a 5lb penalty is generous following that emphatic victory. However, she might be worth taking on with ITMUSTHAVEBEENLOVE. Michael Bell's filly got within a length of success over this trip at Leicester and a 3lb rise for that effort could underestimate her, while the booking of Ryan Moore is noteworthy. Lady De Vega beat the selection at Leicester, but she is 1lb worse off and had a slight race-fitness edge that day.
Prediction : 1st Itmusthavebeenlove 2nd Settle Petal 3rd Lady De Vega

20:15 Windsor

Taawfan is of obvious interest after making a decent fist of things over 7f on debut, while Heaven Forfend showed some promise as a juvenile and is respected on his seasonal return. Mark Of Gold was outpaced over 7f at Newmarket and may fare better over this trip, but CONSCIOUS gets the vote. It took an age for the penny to drop for Roger Charlton's gelding on his introduction but he picked up nicely late on and he can put that experience to good use.
Prediction : 1st Conscious 2nd Taawfan 3rd Heaven Forfend

HOT SUMMER has been frustrating to follow so far, filling the runner-up spot three times in his four career starts, but this looks a good opportunity for Richard Hannon's colt to gain reward for that consistency. Dark Spectre was beaten less than seven lengths on debut, which is about as good as it gets for the rest to have raced before, so perhaps newcomers El Ray and Noble Masquerade could provide further opposition to the selection.
Prediction : 1st Hot Summer 2nd El Ray 3rd Dark Spectre
