ITOLDYOUTOBACKIT cost 60,000 guineas as a yearling, and despite failing to sparkle on the Flat in the early part of his career, could come to the fore following a wind operation now jumping obstacles. Nick Williams always warrants respect in this sphere and that brings Hector De Sivola into the equation, while Prince Percy and Hiconic were the highest rated of these on the level and have to be considered.
Prediction : 1st Itoldyoutobackit 2nd Prince Percy 3rd Hector De Sivola

DAN GUN was a faller early doors when looking for a hat-trick at Huntingdon in December and conditions look perfect for him to gain some long-awaited compensation off the same rating on his return to the track. No Cruise Yet was the just over nine lengths behind the selection when they met in November, but is much better off on the revised terms this time and has to be respected. A line can be drawn through Hidden Glen's 2019/20 season and it will be interesting to see if a switch to Dr Richard Newland can revive the seven-year-old's fortunes.
Prediction : 1st Dan Gun 2nd No Cruise Yet 3rd Hidden Glen

PROPHETS PRAYER has some useful efforts over further in the book (including when second here last summer) and a slight drop back in trip could help the six-year-old land the spoils here off a workable rating. Cast In Grey, Etat Major Aulmes and Lemon Shoulder are all interesting on their first appearance in the handicap ranks. Black Prince hasn't been seen over hurdles for some time, but showed there was plenty in the tank when tried on the all-weather in the spring.
Prediction : 1st Prophets Prayer 2nd Black Prince 3rd Etat Major Aulmes

Ashutor was put in his place when third at Southwell last week but the application of a tongue-tie might aid his cause despite this being a quick turnaround. That said, he could prove vulnerable to an improver and a chance is taken with JIMMY THE DIGGER. A bumper winner at Ludlow in December 2018, Henry Daly's gelding's two subsequent hurdle outings didn't go to plan but he could defy a long absence if able to recapture his bumper form. Referee displayed promise in two outings on the Flat in 2018 and is an interesting recruit to timber.
Prediction : 1st Jimmy The Digger 2nd Ashutor 3rd Referee

CLASSIC ESCAPE hasn't run for almost a year but the stable switch to Dr Richard Newland in a contest that appears to be very winnable on paper could see the seven-year-old make a winning UK debut. The Darley Lama has shown ability in three hurdle outings and can enter calculations along with Ratoute Yutty, who is of interest after a break.
Prediction : 1st Classic Escape 2nd The Darley Lama 3rd Ratoute Yutty

GET BACK GET BACK warmed up for this return to hurdles when down the field on the Flat at Wolverhampton and a mark of 118 might prove workable on his second outing following wind surgery. Global Tour was a consistent individual throughout 2019 and is capable of being in the mix, while Zeb Spirit could step forward on what he achieved in juvenile contests returning from a lengthy break.
Prediction : 1st Get Back Get Back 2nd Global Tour 3rd Zeb Spirit

TEMPLEPARK is a consistent performer who likes good ground and he merits the utmost respect, despite the 136-day layoff. Alexander The Grey is an obvious threat to the selection, having scored at Ludlow when last seen, but he will have to take another step forward to be successful. The shortlist is completed by Darling Maltaix, Irish Prophecy and Lord Bryan.
Prediction : 1st Templepark 2nd Alexander The Grey 3rd Darling Maltaix

DUC KAUTO failed to fire on his most recent outing at Chepstow in January but the heavy ground may have been against him on that occasion. With that in mind, the seven-year-old can be given another chance on this more suitable surface. Trumps Benefit should be in the mix if ready to go after a break, while Gentleman Moore and Gold Mountain are the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Duc Kauto 2nd Trumps Benefit 3rd Gentleman Moore

BOB PEBBLE displayed plenty of promise when finishing second on his debut at Ballinrobe last September and he merits the utmost respect on his debut for Paul Nicholls. Follow That was also not disgraced on her first start earlier in the year and she could prove to be the main threat to the selection, ahead of Catch Me Not and Beholden.
Prediction : 1st Bob Pebble 2nd Follow That 3rd Catch Me Not
