BENTHAM has a shot at recovering Limerick's losses. He was well punted to oblige in Limerick but had to settle for second, two lengths behind a slick winner. That brings him right into contention for this assignment. He won a bumper at this venue last summer. The Broghie Man is tried with cheekpieces after finishing runner-up in his last three maiden hurdles. He has won twice on the flat on rain-softened ground, so may just want a bit more rain. Arthur Fonzarelli has fallen twice over hurdles but in the race he did complete, at Roscommon, he finished a decent second, so he has claims if his jumping has improved. Belfast Banter has plenty of ability, and will be sharper for a run on the flat in June.
Prediction : 1st Bentham 2nd The Broghie Man 3rd Arthur Fonzarelli

SHE TOPS THE LOT is a major player. She was gambled on in Roscommon but couldn't get to grips with the winner who made all, and had to settle for second. Significantly, the horse more than 20 lengths behind her in fourth came out and won a maiden hurdle at this racecourse on Saturday. She Tops The Lot is very lightly raced so there should be plenty more in her locker. Champagne Diva is dangerous. She chased home the favourite in a mares' maiden hurdle in Kilbeggan at the end of June, which is solid form in the context of this race. Better ground and cheekpieces brought about an improved show from the five-year-old mare. Trevena looks best of the rest.
Prediction : 1st She Tops The Lot 2nd Champagne Diva 3rd Trevena

RECENT REVELATIONS has plenty of form to advertise his chance. He won his maiden hurdle by a wide margin at Cork in January before finishing second to Aramax in a rated novice hurdle in Naas. He was fourth to the same horse in a Grade 3 handicap hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, and returned to action with a solid second in Tipperary at the start of the month. He looks the one to beat. King Pellinor won very nicely in Tipperary, and could do more damage here. After that four-length success, jockey Mark Walsh commented that good ground and blinkers helped. The blinkers are retained and he is due to get good ground again.
Prediction : 1st Recent Revelations 2nd King Pellinor 3rd Battle Of Wills

YOUNGNEDOFTHEHILL has been runner-up in five of his last six races and has each-way prospects. It's hard to knock his form as he has run into some in-form rivals who have boosted the form since. He keeps climbing the weights without getting his reward, but Conor McNamara's 5lb claim could be invaluable in this competitive race. Important Message ran away with an extended two and a half mile handicap hurdle here on Saturday, and is an obvious threat off 8lb higher, if as effective over this shorter trip. Davy Russell has been booked. Shamad was a beaten favourite in second over a similar trip at this venue on Saturday. He has to go on the shortlist. Oromo reverts to hurdles after winning his last two races on the flat. It is well over a year since he landed his sole success over flights, so he may be best watched. Laureate was a decisive winner in Limerick after reportedly working well and has to be considered. She got a 7lb hike for that victory and has to defy top weight of 12 stone.
Prediction : 1st Youngnedofthehill 2nd Shamad 3rd Laureate

Much the weaker of the two divisions. CLODY VALLEY appears to be on a mark he can be competitive off. His first venture into handicap company saw him take second at Clonmel in March. He wouldn't need to step up much on that performance to deliver as he faces a lot of out-of-form rivals. Upgraded ought to make her presence felt. It was just under a year ago that she was seen at her best when winning a staying handicap on the flat at the Galway Festival. She has been unplaced in her three outings since then, but a mark of 95 over hurdles shouldn't be insurmountable to her.
Prediction : 1st Clody Valley 2nd Upgraded 3rd Xinbama

TAKE A TURN's form can be a bit in and out but he is in a good place at the minute, so gets first preference. He ought to be cherry ripe for this test after a pair of third places in flat handicaps since racing resumed. He won a rated novice hurdle over a similar trip on decent ground at Sligo in April last year. Fightfortheroses has switched to Enda Bolger from Joseph O'Brien for whom he accrued a couple of runner-up spots in maiden hurdles. He can go well. John McConnell loves having winners at Bellewstown and his Roi De Dubai won this by almost five lengths last year. It is trickier for him this year as he is rated higher and has been off since October, however, he is likely to be primed for this. Le Vagabond will strip fitter for a run in a flat handicap at Fairyhouse last month, and has enough hurdle form to make him a contender.
Prediction : 1st Take A Turn 2nd Fightfortheroses 3rd Le Vagabond

There was a lot to like about TIGER TWENTY TWO's placed effort in Limerick and he can improve from it. He had been off since October before reappearing last month to keep on well for third in a two mile six furlong handicap hurdle. Demophon's last appearance over jumps saw him land a handicap hurdle at Down Royal in March. He wasn't beaten far in a race on the flat at Fairyhouse in June, which should have him ready to tackle this step up in trip. Bridge Native was brought down in Kilbeggan but is more than capable of playing a hand in the finish here.
Prediction : 1st Tiger Twenty Two 2nd Demophon 3rd Bridge Native

JAWBOX was very touted before his debut in Limerick where he ran well in second, but had to give best to the winner who looked useful. With that experience banked, Jawbox is taken to get off the mark for powerful connections. Hand In My Pocket very nearly made all in Musselburgh, but was caught towards the finish. She is likely to be prominent for a long way. That form was franked when the winner then took another bumper in Doncaster. Her point-to-point second to Queens Brook (subsequently third in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival) also reads well. Fest Deiz can get in the hunt for prize money.
Prediction : 1st Jawbox 2nd Hand In My Pocket 3rd Fest Deiz
