BRAZEN BELLE made a winning debut over 5f at Beverley last month and that form has worked out well, with the third winning next time out and the second also going close. With that in mind, David O'Meara's filly is difficult to oppose today, despite her 7lb penalty, with this step up in trip likely to suit. More Than Lucky showed some promise on debut at Redcar and could prove the main threat to the selection, ahead of Gift List and The Queens Ladies.
Prediction : 1st Brazen Belle 2nd More Than Lucky 3rd Gift List

War of Clans made a winning seasonal return at Doncaster a few weeks ago and has to be respected this afternoon, although a 5lb rise will make his life tougher today. Preference is thus for IVA REFLECTION, who bounced back to form when a close second at Thirsk nine days ago and could feasibly finish in the mix off the same mark once again. Silent Agenda and Infinite Grace are others who merit consideration.
Prediction : 1st Iva Reflection 2nd War of Clans 3rd Silent Agenda

JUSTIFIED got off the mark at Hamilton 10 days ago in a race in which the first two pulled well clear of the remainder. The progressive son of Authorized may still have more to offer and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent him from following up. Lismore has made the frame on her last couple of starts and may benefit from the fitting of first-time cheekpieces, Eagle's Foot is an interesting handicap debutant, while Socially Shady also merits consideration in newly-fitted headgear.
Prediction : 1st Justified 2nd Lismore 3rd Eagles Foot

Mambo Nights made most of the running when getting off the mark in style at Sandown last month, though the same tactics could leave him vulnerable to William Haggas' Beverley winner KING'S CASTLE on this occasion. The selection, a Camelot colt, looked to have plenty left in the tank at the winning post and could enjoy this step up in trip on his handicap debut. Trumpet Man has to be respected for Mark Johnston, while Stockbridge Tap ran well at Thirsk recently and cannot be ruled out.
Prediction : 1st Kings Castle 2nd Mambo Nights 3rd Stockbridge Tap

Three of BENADALID's six wins have come at this venue and he rates the one to beat after landing a second C&D success last time. Chris Fairhurst's five-year-old has been handed a 4lb rise for that victory, though he was a length to the good on that occasion and was not stopping, offering plenty of hope that he could follow up. Dark Jedi was a winner at Hamilton recently and is interesting now tackling an extra furlong under a 5lb penalty. Mulligatawny has finished third to the aforementioned pair on his last two outings but the track-and-trip winner also commands respect for the in-form Roger Fell and Ben Curtis team.
Prediction : 1st Benadalid 2nd Dark Jedi 3rd Mulligatawny

A drop back in trip saw FRANKELIO get back on the scoresheet on his return at Pontefract and he is the one to beat again. River Dawn was third behind him last month and boosted the form when landing his third all-weather success of the year at Kempton last week. A 5lb penalty reduces his chances of reversing form with the selection, though he is clearly in good order and has to be respected. Recent Haydock scorer Global Spirit is considered for a yard firing in the winners, while Saisons D'Or and Vocatus are also expected to go well.
Prediction : 1st Frankelio 2nd River Dawn 3rd Global Spirit

DEEP SNOW makes strong appeal on her debut second at Newbury last season as she split Boomer, who won a Group 3 on her next start, and Stylistique, who placed in the Rockfel. Saeed Bin Suroor's filly is likely to improve for an extra furlong this afternoon and could take plenty of beating. Golden Hind ran on well to place on debut at Catterick in October, while Tombolo could step forward from his reappearance effort at Redcar.
Prediction : 1st Deep Snow 2nd Golden Hind 3rd Tombolo

OKSANA ASTANKOVA got off the mark on her second outing at Lingfield and is entitled to finish in the mix on her handicap debut. She shaped with enough promise that day to suggest a mark of 70 is workable and the step up to 1m will suit. Transcript, who placed at Lingfield when last seen in December, looks the main danger to the selection, while Abbotside completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Oksana Astankova 2nd Transcript 3rd Abbotside
